There's been a huge drop in player count, I know not alot of people know the servers are up etc but even during the previous build I never saw more that 500-600 people playing at any one time. And I know the sudden drop to never any more than 150 people on this build is down to not knowing about the servers but how are we supposed to team up with eve online players in the near future if our player count at ANY time...doesn't even make up 5% of eve onlines 400,000+ player count?

Of eve or ccp for that matter. In short once the game goes live the potential is there for player count to skyrocket to match or exceed eve perferably the later

IDK WTB secret skillz) - The amount of corporations willing (and capable) of contracting Mers for a completly functional and necessary region/planet/installation ( when the time comes) SO IMHO theres quite a few thing that take player coutn from both sides...anyways you can add/remove/edit from it as you wish/seem fit so yea....

Nothing against the devs, as I know they're putting in their best effort, but myself and a few others are waiting on the upcoming patch on the 21st. In particular, keyboard and mouse support. I've played plenty of FPS games and while the game somewhat reminded me of Battlefield 2142 (albeit with much more complexity), it just wasn't polished enough yet to hold my attention. Again, this is just my opinion, and by no means am I intending to speak poorly of the game. I just get the feeling that the game is being rushed ahead of schedule, something that so many potentially great MMOFPS games seem to do all too often. I don't know if it's the threat of impending big FPS releases this coming year or if they are taking the initial launch as somewhat of a "trial run" to see how it fares (with more content being added upon determining profitability), but barring any dramatic changes between now and later this year, I don't feel like the game will be ready to compete in prime time. EDIT: Also, as far as I know, most (I believe all) EVE players with an active subscription have been given DUST beta invites. Several friends and I from EVE have tried the game, and as mentioned above are waiting to see what the next patch brings.

Yup. Mouse and keyboard, 3 brand new epic maps. Omg wait untill you see the one non earth planet map with these gaint rock skipes being struck with lightning. And a huge area for tank combat inbetween the players and the base. Going on foot would rake too long you have to go with an lav at least. Oh man the new shield miss are fing amazing. The game also got times 5 pretty.
