I've noticed a lot of people saying they're missing shots frequently. I was in the options menu, looking to tone down the aim sensitivity, and I noticed that there's an Aim-Assist option which defaults to off.
I haven't tested it yet, so I don't know if it helps. I just wanted to point it out for the people using DS3 who can't hit the broad side of an MCC. |

I've tested it, and can actually hit things now, so it definitely helps.
I'm still a terrible shot, but that's beside the point. |

I tried to use aim assist and ended up doing a lot worse. So I probably won't be using it in the future. |

Well, I'm much happier with it off. I drive a manual car. And my shoes have laces instead of Velcro. I still write in crayon. |

I left mine off because I wasn't sure it would help with the mass driver, but if it's as good as some people say then it might be worth getting some of those breach mass drivers. |

Aim assist is for pussies and scrubs who suck at fps games. If you need a crutch to play, hit up call of duty. |

video games is a hobby, one that i invest a lot of time and effort into since i get a lot of fun out of it. I wouldn't say that being good makes me better or more right than someone else tho, especially on a forum lol.
anyone saying otherwise has their douche showing.... |

truth
willingly foregoing an easily available advantage because of some sense of superiority based on self appointed elitism........
i call shenanigans.
however, aim assist can hinder players more than help in some cases, so if a player is better off without it, good for him.
its all situational methinks. |

You haven't been around FPS games very long, things such as advantage are dictated by player skill, this game already has skills that remove player skill out of the equation and substitutes it for play time, adding in a mechanic like aim assist detracts player skill even more buy removing the players need to you know, aim accurately.
There is a reason games like CoD are popular but aren't used in competitive circles. |

+1. Makes the TTK even lower and helps to disregard recoil.
Kinda bummed that I can't fine tune my sensitivity anymore. Can only choose 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, or 100. |

You realize that all console FPSs have some degree of aim assistance to compensate for how hard it is to aim using a controller, right? If you've played any console FPS, you've used aim assistance, so I don't quite understand the logic behind this post beyond it being a knee-jerk reaction to something you clearly don't understand.
I'm guessing that the only reason it even has the option to turn it off is because it can throw off aiming when using a KB/M setup. I don't understand why it's off by default, though, considering most players will probably use a DS3. |
