I bought a bunch of skill books for heavy armor, only to go to purchase the armor and finding out that i didn't meet the required skill. Either this a bug, or i'm just a noob who doesn't know how the skill book thing works. |

The same thing happened to me I logged in and found one of my dropsuits fittings was invalid cause of AV Grenades and found that I needed the Grenadier Skillbook. To make a long story short I ended up wasting isk and getting 8 Grenadier skillbooks and yet still unable to use the AV grenades. |

You only ever need one skill book, from there you use some eared SP to add to that skill, the only time that you will not be able to use a skill is if that skill requires an additional skill, flying dropships, requires two skill before you can fly the bigger ships. Cycle the R2 button on the Grenades and see if an additional skill is required. |

Did you buy them on the market or the skill tree? If on the market, then you can buy skill books you cannot use and it's perfectly legit as you can sell them later on, if in the skill window then I think that's something that should be fixed. |
