Did you guys see a huge influx of Eve players this past weekend? I was expecting 1,000s considering how big the Eve player base is, yet I thought the turn out in general was pretty paltry all weekend.
It seemed to be one of the slowest weekends all summer.
Is anyone worried? what are your thoughts? |

Well, that would explain it.
I wonder how many Eve players CCP expected to play? what their estimates were? |

i did notice a lot of players with crappy gear, but I think it was quiet because we have been playing this map for over a month now and people are getting very bored of it. when it first came out I was so excited to get home and play, and now the last 2 weekends i have played 2 or 3 matches.
so i think when the new patch drops and people can group this will change everything.
i know a few of my corp mates played a few games and then gave up when they couldn't group |

I think most Eve players who have PS3s signed up for beta as soon as they could and got keys already. The rest may no be interested. |

There was a new influx of militats in this weekend that was very noted, However it people I normally see wherent playing as much so chances are they're getting burnt out on current build. And with the wipe announced last week some folks are like going 'why bother' metnatly. |

We were actually back up to about 600-700 during the weekend active at one time, and there were a lot of new Eve players playing. Our previous numbers were about 300-400. I hope the numbers to be higher going forward as well.

Yep, I signed up all my accounts when beta first announced and received keys for all of them. Several people I know in EVE are less interested in wanting to play DUST, but more interested in how it may mess up EVE. |

I think I shot gunned most of them. :D Tbh it's a good thing lots of people have stopped. Gives those EvE guys much needed time to adapt and not face Proto's or HAV's. Well, kinda. |

One thing players are forgetting is this IS a beta. The part I don't find appealing about BETAs are that people need to be constructive and understanding. Instead they get all pissy and rage quit. The point is we are supposed to HELP with development, not treat it like a published game and whine about it.
So yeah we are losing players to burnout, but in the end they aren't such of the quality that BETAs are really looking for. It's the dedicated players who slug it out with/without bugs and suggest constructive ways to make corrections WITHIN THE PARAMETERS of the original game design.
We get too many people who make suggestions without understanding what EVE universe really means, and then the EVE players get really LOUD as we tend to do about that.
Play the BETA. The more the better. But be damned sure you get on here, post about it, and when making suggestions, please take it all into context with EVE Online. Understand that we are likely to bite heads when we see something people are asking for that is just not EVE Universe.

Well if you're like me, EVE and ps3 owner, who didn't get a beta key in the beginning. You went and bought the merc pack as soon as it came out and jumped on. |

I guess also not everyone is eager to get in so between receiving the news and actually doing the signup process, adding to that the ungodly download size, I supose people will come in during this week and probably most that are interessed will be inside by the next weekend. |

All the issues have been talked to death. There is nothing to do. And if people don't like the game design, they are allowed to say so... |

Those who have converted already have.
All the other eve players are, well, playing eve. That may change when people can actually duel box between games and it actually mean something.
A lot of people I know have played it and are waiting for it to get better, because its a beta and stuff.
Im the obsessed one the rest of my friends are normal and are getting on with their lives but no doubt they will play when it finally released. |

Most EVE players got in at the beginning of the E3 build. I'm pretty sure that they are just waiting for the new build. |
