Grouping and External Corps:
With the coming of Grouping and Player created channels within in DUST 514, this is a time for External Corps to shine. ECs will be able to run their Corps off of their Contact list and created in game channels to better organize their teams and increase recruitment efforts.

With squads you will be able to train in infantry combat more effectively and experiment with Squad builds.
LogiGÇÖs will know play a more important role to your team with the added GÇ£Bleed OutGÇ¥ and GÇ£360 degreeGÇ¥ repair tool effect.
Squad forming is also a great recruitment tool for when you find randoms in game looking for a group to run with and hang out. It can also be used as a "Try Out" tool.
Squad leaders should focus on placing objectives on the map to not only give your team guidance, but also added SP bonuses as well.

Too bad the groups are the dumbtarded size of 4. lolbf3squads
It needs to be able to be a 12 person group as a full team. There should not be a 4 person limit. When 24 v 24 and 32 v 32 games are introduced, it should run full teams then too. |

why is it even 4? squads are 6 ppl i made posts specifically tellin CCP NOT to make party system capped like BF3
if this is just for hisec games ok but if this is the actual system throughout then smh |

Good idea zion this should be something that all people trying run a corp should look at and share ideas. I would also like to see where they say only 4 people in a group I must have missed that. |

Its still ridiculous, wait this long to play with my corp then find out I can't field an entire team. lolwut Corps and alliances being an entire focus of the game and being thrown in with a minimal system like this, should have been added a month ago. |

Why can't people be happy with what they've got. I seriously doubt grouping will be limited to 4 mercs when an eve alliance contracts a dust corp to conquer a planet. You're being given a grouping system, SAY THANK YOU ! It's being restricted to 4, common sense would tell you that it's being tested as we are 'beta testers' and restricting the size of the groups will restrict the impact of them not working properly.
However I am well aware that common sense isn't as common as the name would suggest, perhaps it should be renamed to rare sense !
As for "telling CCP" anything, unless you're a director, bring yourself down a peg or 3 and and use these forums to make suggestions and requests and then hope enough other people agree so CCP might consider it if they haven't already. |

4 people is fine for now. You get the chance to play with friends consistently and test out how some teamwork will effect the game.
A game of 12 guys who are all stacked and working together going against 12 randoms will likely provide little feedback to the developers. With limiting to a group of four, it can still be a fair shake for the 12 randoms and still provide some useful feedback to the devs.
I am very happy with the grouping at 4 and am curious to see what groups we get: 1 of each class 4 of all the same 3 heavy and 1 logi 1 heavy, 2 assault and 1 logi

To be fair, real life traditional "fireteams" usually consist of 4 soldiers and is sufficient for tactical maneuvers.
Having 4 players to a squad also conveniently factors into 24 player games (3 squads x2) and 32 player games (4 squads x2).
What is needed is the ability for multiple squads to join the same match. |

What we need is what I have been bitching about on the forums but getting very little support fro the rest of you guys. We need in game corp functions and corp vs corp battles. We don't need to wait till the end of 2013 for the 00 patch with sov and district ownership before we get in game full corps much like EVE. There are a lot of people who were under the impression that they would be able to join a player corp right after creating their char and booting the game for the first time. There are also a good number of people who started Dust corps in EVE who are now going to be screwed because they aren't going to be able to join that corp with their Dust chars. |

Squads should be 8 per. 8x2 =16 + 16 for other team = 32. If they eventually get 64 players then it could be 8x4 per side. |

The squad size is limited right now on purpose for testing right now. It will be increased later.
Talking to a dev in the irc and he said the 4 player squads are to help test the matchmaking system. |
