Dust will only ever work if the mercs outweigh the eve players
on pc it will be a struggle to get this number
even if every eve player that is playing had 1 that would not be enough.
so the 3 markets we have are wii xbox and ps3
wii wouldn't work don't get me started
xbox it has been stated it was not picked as it would not be able to run dust (don't know why)
so we got the ps3 works has an untapped player base.
i love eve but this game is not marketed at us.
this is why.
we will play it we can anyway
they don't want us to quit eve for dust if we do them who will hire us.
and we will get merc in eve they what us to use them.
anyone else have a way to keep the dust/eve player rate right? |

Trouble Nexus, it IS marketed at you. Look at the number of EvE players in the beta. The FPS crowd pretty much got up, whined a bit, and walked out. You've got mag clans, eve fans and people who are just so bored of all the other games they'll play this until borderlands 2 drops.
Obviously, there are a few exceptions. But I'd say most of the 20000+ codes from before the EvEvasion are mostly not playing. I think you've been missing the point of all the "this caters to EvE more than FPS" threads.
Edit; I agree this game needs numbers. Xbox was apparently to do with the f2p model, or some red tape. |

we all know why dust 514 is not on xbox... because nothing goes on xbox live for free, MS can't make money on it.

i don't know i did read somewhere that xbox couldn't run dust something to do with there system |

Guys, I'm not looking forward to any games this year. Next year Dead Space 3 drops in February and I will play that. But until then I will play Dust. I'm gonna be hardcore. Just so you know I woill be an aesome corp owner and I'm free agents at the moment. Just sayin' |

the xbox literally could not run dust, its not a metaphor or code for some other ****, it literally cant, thats the main reason,
and trust me there a LOADs of people on the ps3 out there that would absolutely love dust, but the problem is there is only a handful that have heard of it that didnt come from EvE
we live in a world where advertisement in like 70% of a games success, and i dont see any out there for dust.... just look at CoD or WoW advertisement is y those games are number 1 out there but they are total trash |

once the game goes live and theirs some advertisement it will chance the only reason i new about dust was because of stumbled on a ign news post, which is rare that i go on ign. I only know about the game by sheer luck, and theres the fact that most people own xbox kinda hurt beta tester numbers, however once the game gets proper advertisement after it goes live(most people are to use to showoff beta not actual betas so they be put off by dust) the player base will shoot up. |

ccp is gonna have a tough time here on ps3. On the pc, eve is the only good "spaceship game" as here on ps3 , they got some serious competition, black-ops 2 in november, bf3-armored kill in september, i think a fair few console gamers left when learning about m/kb being put in, i know i have felt they dont seem to listen to us console guys more than a few times. i have a fair few friends im going to try get into dust at release tho. |

Looking forward to the full release, first heard about Dust in Edge. Theres a ways to go but Dust keeps getting better with each update. |

i was reading about something about kb/m and CCP thinks that maybe the DS3 could do well. |
