This is based on field experience while using heavy/small remote repair modules for vehicles.
remote shield modules: -market price vary between each module though they all boost the same amount of shields (price ranges from 1.250-23.360) -higher cooldown time after usage as armor repair modules -less active time then armor repair modules -low amount of boosting shields -no SP gain for using them
remote armor repair modules: -market price doesnt matter cause they all cost the same (price for any module: 1.250 ISK) -very low cooldown time after usage (3 secs) -module active time is around 1 minute -amount of repaired armor is very high compared to remote shield modules -high amount of SP gain if used correct
After alot of testing i found out that the shield modules are all useless for combat situations while the armor modules offer you chances beyond you could even imagine. Whenever i see a surya HAV driving around in my it makes click and i call in my LAV with remote armor repairs. Sometimes when the HAV driver found himself a nice camping spot he stays there as long his armor can handle the incoming damage. I simply stay behind him and use the surya as cover while he gets the main attention i constantly repair his armor and gain like every sec +25. I tried this with a sagaris before but the crappy shield reps aint any good and he blew faster up as a forgegun is charged up and ready to fire. Long story short: if you have some 1 with remote armor reps on your team and keep buffing the suryas armor its basically imortal.
And to the surya drivers out there: you maybe once saw me with a sgaris or a limbus behind you shoting a yellow ray of goodness pointed towards your surya |

Those AV folks should have known better if they saw that the Surya was not going down. |

Well if the surya keeps constantly glowing yellow then you know that you have a big problem. |

Its worst then that though, and I waited til the end of this patch to test it because I didn't want people screaming OP OMG!!!
But fit 2 Surya's with High Resist decent armor, and a Heavy Remote Repair module, have lock each other and repair while shooting over each others shoulders and you have an invulnerable camping location... Tested it by putting both of our Surya's in the middle of the highway directly in front of Charlie, and doing it all match, by the end the entire opposing team was AT and they couldn't take us down even though we weren't moving at all...
Ironically we still lost due to the remainder of our team being incapable of taking the other two points due to all the forge gunners in towers, but if two people in 2 Surya's can hold a capture point guaranteed, with no hope whatsoever of being defeated, even by a couple Proto Forge Gunners raining hell on those spider tanks, I think its safe to say it works...
Unfortunately, even though by not doing this often during this patch we prevented it from being nerfed, after it pops up a lot next patch, I have no doubt whatsoever it will be nerfed before release, which honestly is probably a good thing.. |

Try out a remote armor rep fitted to the shield tanked tank and a shield transfer to the armor tanked tank. Run as a pair launcher on the shield and rail on the armor and it just kicks so much ass you feel dirty after. Requires mic lol and if you understood my horrible sentence well done you. |

Yea but thts sounds like the same of both suryas armor repping each other
Either way both tanks repping each other maybe good but not if the battle is really open and they are smarter than a roach and use drop uplinks and such then the tanks will have to move around as a pair which really doesnt help |

Of course you know what the counter is don't you? It is coming out soon and is called orbital strike and should have so much alpha that your spider tank won't be able to our rep it. |

That works only because we don't have a capacitor; normally you couldn't run both local and remote reps at the same time without cap being dry in 10sec flat. It's safe to assume that the capacitor will be added to vehicles at some point since it's such a wonderful balancing tool. |

Good Suryas are rough to go up against in the first place. Put remote rep on them and it just might absorb my entire ammo capacity on my Forge and live. |

If I can survive forge guns by just sitting next to a supply depot, spider tanking will be godly next build. I have a few friends that already mentioned doing this with me. |
