My fellow Mercs, my Clones in Arms;
I know we have shared tough times during these trials. They're molding us for whats to come. Take heart! Hold tight to the persons you are.
How you ask? I shall tell you how:
As they infuse us with the drive and motivation to slay one another endlessly, hang on to those moments of pure humanity that come like fleeting gusts of wind through the exhaust hatch of a burning dropship.
There! I just had one....
Machine Gun Tex, decent clone...knows his way across a combat zone, and I were dropping in as attackers and struck up a conversation over voice comms. Thankfully our channel seemed secure. Alas, before we had even taken the first objective a priority call came in on my end across a secure line ( I cut squad comms to take the call). But like a good merc I soldiered on.
Towards the very end of the battle I am charging down the crest the backs A towards C to engage an enemy assault that was distracted by one of our Heavy Machine Gunners. I hip fired a Freedom Mass Driver round into his backside just before the HMG sawed him in half. I didn't notice the red's name.
But as I looked up through the HUD I see Machine Gun Tex, the HMG swinger. And he's bouncin up and down like he's happy to see me. Oh crap, comms... I start bouncing up and down so he knows I'm happy to see him even though I forgot to open our comms channel.
It's our own little moment in the sun. Gleeful recognition of the deadly monkey across from me! Hi Tex! I see you! You see me? KABAM!!!!!!!!!
The last thing Tex and I both see before we wake in the cold glare of the CRU is the bottom of a fast falling enemy dropship.

My turn.
Such a great moment was had by me alone as a sniper defending two objectives from the north side.
Comms were active and secure. Upon the start of the mission I spawned on the far-north spawn point contrary to the recommendations of others to spawn closer. As I emerged on the battlefield in my sniper scout drop suit, I immediately sprint forward to a suitable sniping position that overlooks the terminals of both Objective C and the northwest CRU while covering Objective B from a greater distance.
As I stare down the sights of my Ishrukon Sniper Rifle towards the C terminal, a thought runs through my head telling me that I should go somewhere else to get a better sniping position and that I shouldn't camp on one spot for too long lest I get discovered. But I fought the urge for some reason. I felt that my urge to move was wrong so I stayed put.
As I laid there in the crouch position waiting for someone to take any of the objectives or the northwest CRU, I felt that maybe I should move because I'm not seeing anyone take what I am covering. But no sooner than when that thought passed through my mind, a see a group of three enemy mercs swarming the C terminal to try to hack it as a group.
I thought to myself... "Damn it, this going to be tough. How am I suppose to stop them from starting virus upload?"
But I stopped wondering and started shooting at them starting with the two that bunched together. In one shot I somehow managed to kill both of them at once. Either that or someone else fired a shot at the exact same time I did with a clear view of the same terminal.
Then I moved on to the third enemy merc and squeezed another round at him without even giving the sway time to fully settle. The shot was a kill. Then another merc came in and tried to finish where the other three had failed. In one shot he also went down. Objective C was then secured.
As I was reloading my rifle, I message came up telling me that the enemy is hacking one of our CRUs. I looked to my right without thinking and finished my reload. I then aim down my sights and spotted the enemy merc trying to hack said CRU. I didn't even give the sway any time at all to settle because as soon as I aimed down the sights, I pulled the trigger and BAM! Kill shot! The CRU is secured.
I quickly looked towards the area in front Objective B in the distance and saw that the TACNET has picked up another enemy merc trying to head towards the terminal. I aimed once more but the draw distance is too short and I can't see the enemy except by looking at the icon over their heads. I steadied the rifle's sway and pointed the dot right where I believed the head is located and pulled the trigger as soon as B was indicating that it is being hacked. BAM! KILL SHOT! B is secured!
HOLY CRAP! Someone is shooting at my direction and destroyed the installation that was next to me. Thankfully not only did I survive but the destruction of the installation actually created a small trench for me to hide in and provide more effective cover for C and the northwest CRU. But my view of objective B was obstructed. But no matter, I did my job well as a sniper and helped my team mates hold the objectives long enough for the MCC to be destroyed before it docked as I sneaked in a few more kills (with a few misses here and there).

Was positioned as a dropship gunner when our dropship got involved an a midair dogfight with another dropship. Our pilot (and I dont remember his name) flew that big walrus like a pro, keeping us gunners to where we could have a shot with our rocket mounts and keeping the opposing dropship gunners from getting a good shot angle. The other guys dropship went down in flames and the survivors got quickly cacked.
One of the hairiest and best fights ive been in yet. |

Yah, its crazy how much a qaulity driver or pilot can affect the gunners' experience. Vehicle drivers should take pride in delivering hi quality tactics and maneuvers that keep your crew and hull in the fight |
