When ever you spawn you automatically have a orange/red indicator above your head and this makes for easy spawn killing for tanks, drop ship missiles and snipers. By either eliminating the indicator (during spawning only) or delaying it would give the person spawning a little more of a chance to fight back. This would also help by making it harder to locate drop links making it easier to spawn outside of the main base during situations were your team has no base's or CRU's. |

i support anything that helps to limit corpse camping, or spawn camping. it's just a cheezy way to get kills. |

It's not always used to only get kills. If you have no other spawn points, it is a legitimate way to secure an objective. The other team has multiple close spawn points - you have none. In a vaccuum it is cheesy, yes, and this is why they are fixing the bug. In the new build, I don't think the arrow will be as big of a problem when spawning at set spawn points.
As for drop uplinks, this does let others find my link - and I feel it is a good balance because otherwise you wouldn't be able to find it. I'm a fan of balance and counters for everything. My fit lost to yours? I'll get a fit to counter yours. This is the way of life in New Eden and CCP games. |

The red arrow is an indication that you or someone else on your team has a sensor lock on an enemy position and is reporting that sensor lock via the TACNET.
Spawn camping is only possible because of a known bug in the spawn mechanic that forces every spawn onto the exact same spot instead of into a random location chosen within some radius around the spawn point selected. When it is fixed, spawn camping will not occur the way it does now.
Implementing campy game rules to make things "fair" are bad for the game because this game is a sandbox warfare simulation, not a tiered match driven arena shooter. |

He's referring to the bug (Wait, do I mean feature?) that whenever someone spawns, they have the orange chevron over their head for a brief moment, then it goes away. All it does it tell the other team "OH LOOK SOMEONE SPAWNED OVER THERE, WE SHOULD GO KILL THEM!"
Needs to be fixed. |

Did you even read my post ? I only ask because your response has absolutely nothing to do with what I am talking about. I understand that when I target someone I will have the red chevron above my head but why is it above my head when I spawn ? I have not targeted anything I just spawned. Yes the known bug for fixed spawning will be fixed but I do not think it will make much of a change if the enemy has a big red arrow pointing me out where ever I randomly spawn. I agree that implementing campy game rules can ruin a game, we can take examples of this from tiered match driven arena shooters like bf3 and starhawk.
@Forlorn Destrier I do agree over running the enemy into there own base is a legit tactic. We all play to win and that is one of the best ways to win. I can also agree with you on the drop links because I do put my links in some pretty precious spots and may be almost impossible to find. Maybe remove the red arrow but make the drop link more visible to the enemy.

The marker is based of sensor signal and other stuff when respawn it could be distrupting the signal streagth thingy and thus no chevron when spawning.
I was think dust could expand on the whole signature thing and make it so the chevron doesnt all ways appear and modules could expand how well you pick up signals and another could hide yours better but first the whole signal streagth always at max when in sight would have to be changed and make it based off actually signal streagth vs sensor streagth |

Yes this was actually another idea I was thinking about. Have a module that can be added to your drop suit to hide you signal when you are targeting a enemy but it would have to be costly because this would make snipers much more deadly. |

Why costly? Simple having something eat up more cpu and space is a good enough reason I mean anipers would be sacrificing hitpoints for being less detectable, by fitting the module were they would normally have shield booster or armor plates both of which would increase their signal streagth do to the hi energy stuff of sheilds. |

You clearly don't even know how the system works. Its not when you target someone, its when someone on the other team is able to sense you... If they are spawn camping you, then clearly they are in range and line of sight to you (at least one person is) and so your position is being reported in the other teams TACNET. |

There could be a short time period where that arrow doesnt appear cause the suits cant snese do to eespawning stuff, pr you know we could just spawn in the air an actually drop and fix this all togehter. However I all for a look at the current sensor signature system and some modules |

Ya that is what I mean by costing a lot of the cpu and power grid because that would make snipers almost impossible to find and this is coming from a sniper. |
