If we are on these forums, chances are we will get the information quickly, case and point, the various threads with links....
Now if you are CCP and you need to hype/market your game, what do you do...? You go give interviews to media outlets with new and exciting information. If the media outlet already knows the information (it is posted on the dust site) than why run the article with news that is already out there.
Take a class in earned media or something.... |

Your forgot to mention it took people from this forum to hunt down this information....the links were not supplied to us by the Developers.
And before you release information to the media, its usually a good idea to have it tested by as many people possible to counter possible leaks or bad press[the IGN weekend comes to mind].

This is rather amusing, and futile, since there's plenty with Eagle Eyes and similar that will take advantage anyway lol. It's why whinging about mouse always cracks me up: the console kids are ALREADY playing against people using mice, even in Dust (according to the Eagle Eye forums). |
