Hey DEVs
Will there be the ability to play together on one PS3 system? If not Ihave a few ideas. The second/third/fouth guy could log into his account via the neocom and run in the same mercenary quarter as the first player. Only the first player could select battles that all play but both could open their fitting menus and marketplace.
What do you think of it? |

Probably take too much RAM up on the PS3... I always loved splitscreen games, but if we can get more ingame content instead of splitscreen I would vote for that. |

It works well with other games and the connection to EVE wont take so much RAM. If you mean this because both have their equipment the other guys could use the first players stuff and he gets a certain amount of their SP and ISK earnings more. |

If you get just ISK from them and they are in the same team then its good but it seems unreal if you learn although an other guy killed the people. |

How do you deal with skills?
how do you deal with ISK?
What about the names of the "guests" Are they persistent?
there are a ton of reasons why this is a bad idea and you didn't think of any of them?
This is NOT an ARENA FPS where you can just plop down with some bros and some beers and play and it doesn't matter...

They are logged in so they would have everything of them except of their eqipment. |

So they would share all the stats of the person whose main account they are logged into,
OR
They have to log into their own account and have their own stuff?
The first one is very very unbalanced since a veteran could have some friends over and join a match with 4 copies of himself, with all of his skills. That could make a big difference. And would they be members of the same corporation as the main? Do they add to his stats? Who gets all the skill points that they rack up?
If its the second one, then fine, no problem, but why would you get together when you can play at home with a larger screen and better connection speed? |

I mean it like the second one. many people would play Dust together due to the same reasons as they play MW3 or BF3 together: Its more funny if you play together. Another reason is that many people dont play as a team so you can discuss better tactics than on the voice chat. |

Its true. Why has nearly every game a multiplayer mode? You can ask the same about other shooters and you will hear the same. |

That and it would be sweet to have a "guest" login so your buddy who doesn't have a ps3 can try out the game and help your corp as an extra hand. I don't even get why anyone would expect shared skills or isk, I think it would just be common sense to keep all stats individualized. |

If it goes in, it would probably be like Starhawk: I go to my friend's house, activate split-screen, and when it prompts me I enter my PSN information. Then I play as my character from my profile and he plays as his. Simple, no? |

I know that and you know that, but about half a page of others have an audible whistling noise somewhere above their cranium. |

You would have to be in the same system for this to really work.. If you're a few jumps apart, how are you planning on being in the same match? |

I guess we will get the ability to choose the battle we want to play. The main player chooses the battle for everyone there. |
