If you add EMP weapons you should really add something which isnt effected by the shield and negates nearly the complete armor. If you just add EMP weapons nobody will use Caldari anymore because a Sagaris would be dead in 10 hits with a missle launcher after an EMP weapon was shooten at it. If you add a structure like in EVE it could negate the complete armor. |

Why not a one-shot-kill-all homing pistol? You said it yourself "No on would be using the Sagaris anymore." Which sounds to me like a massive unbalancing. There sure will be webifier as deployables, projectors or grenades... maybe even as an LAV module. But something else? I don't know.

Webifiers are weapons in EVE that are used to massively reduce the movement speed of the target ship. It's more or less a snare, but has a few other implications. Long story short, ships designed to survive by being too fast to be hit are severely crippled when webbed.
The counterpart to EM weapons in EVE are explosive weapons: These weapons are crap against shields, but tear armor to shreds much more quickly.
If you're running around in an anti-shield loadout, and come across an armor-using player.... You're screwed. If all infantry start using EM weapons, all tank drivers will start using Gallente and Amarr tanks. At which point all infantry would switch to explosive weapons... At which point all tank drivers would switch to...... Well you get the idea. Equipping the counter to one thing will leave you vulnerable to all the other things. |

You raise a good point - are there plans to release ammo of each damage type? Also, will we be getting damage specific resistance mods like we have in Eve?
Oh - and I can't wait to web those damn scouts. |

i just want some kind of electronic warfare to stop a tank from running away, so it actually has to sit there and tank damage. instead of the current oh, i took some damage lets run over there and come back in a few seconds with full health. they have loads of hp, damage resists, armour/shield repair modules and 3 weapons i think it's fair to have this kind of electronic warfare. |
