A friend and i tried syncing when clicking the join button. SOMETIMES it works, most times it don't.

Top 20 for what? K/D? That makes you a dumbass.
Total kills? That uhh.... That doesn't say anything besides you play a lot.
Warpoints? That's really undecided because there are many ways, and if you have a high k/d chances are they are earned almost solely from kills, thus, making you a dumbass.
