Drop it, activate it, place one of your weapons on it, move off and fire the weapon remotely. |

sounds more like a portable weapons stand that you could set up somewhere, then maybe go to a 1st person view from the weapon stand's perspective and use it that way? for one, it sounds like the new RE. take an objective, set one of these up with a proto forge gun covering the point, wait for the poor clueless defender to come along and try to stop it.
conversely, this could mean that you would completely loose any awareness of what was going on around your body, which means easy kill. of course a proto forge gun, with the rest of the fit a completely milita setup would mean you only loose the price of a proto forge if you do get ganked. hmmmm, not sure i like this idea. |

Well, its relatively original, not without its down sides, and itis reasonable within the confines of the game... So I say yes, but this one needs to be balanced carefully if it is incorporated...
I see nothing inherently wrong with the idea though, or unrealistic about it. Its limited to the ammunition stored in the weapon, its an easy target since it will be stationary, and have less armor and shielding then a standard dropsuit, and it leaves the user vulnerable while their using it, and when its destroyed leaves them without their main weapon to scurry off to the nearest supply depot and re-arm themselves.
What might make it OP is if you throw a nano-hive next to it that reloaded it, and if the Prototype version was automated when unmanned... But then all prototypes are inherently OP, so even though it might be OP, it would be cool... Question is, how pissed will people be at getting blown up by a gauntlet of Forge Gun sentries, and mowed down by Creodon sentries?
I'm not strongly for it, but it does sound interesting, and I'm definitely not opposed. |
