there are three maps for ambush (which noone plays) and one for skirmish. I just think dust is more about objective gameplay, not deathmatch, so why isnt there more objective based modes? thats what needs to be tested |

To make a very quick summery; they are never going to build traditional FPS maps for the release; they are going to make an algorithm that will generate all the "Maps (districts)" for each planet. I think for the beta we will just be testing out core FPS game play and will move on to test different game types as we get closer to release. They have some generic places for us to fight on for now, but they will most likely not be rolling out 12-15 compete maps for us to test. Maybe they will try different terrain and objectives once the installation equipment can be used and needs testing... maybe test out the map generater by giving us some new randomly created maps each weekend? I would bite^^ |

part of the goal for testing is too see how the maps play out when full. By diluting the player base (by having more maps available) the dev's wouldn't be able to test that.
Now with that said, I'd love to see a different map, but I feel that it would likely still only be one map at a time. |
