Today I switched between the Asian and the US servers and (from my perspective as a player from the US) felt that the hit detection was way off in the Asian servers in comparison to the US. When I was sniping in the Asian servers I had to lead people by several meters no matter what there distance was and almost none of my submachine gun rounds registered as hits. In the US server I only had to lead people a couple of feet and was far more effective at close range. I was just wondering if anything like this happens any of you guys while you play in different servers. |

um.......your wondering why the time lag between in-game events and your actions is increased when you are playing on a server all the way in Noodle and Rice Land?

Wow is this a serious post?
You are in USA and have lag when you play Asian servers? Baffling, truly baffling... |

Come on guys, some people don't understand how the internet works. They just think "oh, I'm connected to that server, why am I having this issue?"
Anyway, the reason that you are experiencing this, is due to Ping: the amount of time it takes for you to send information to the server, and the time it takes the server to send that information back. You will have a much lower ping (faster connection) to whichever server is located closer to you, hence why you have less lag on the US server. Hit detection all happens on the server, not on your game client.
When you fire your weapon at someone, your game has to tell the server, then the server has to process that information and determine whether or not you hit your target, and then it has to send the results back to you, and also to the player you shot at. It takes a little bit of time :P |

Yep totaly get this.
Im a Brit and on the EU server every round I fire hits on the US I get a fall off on hit detection but on the asian servers I cant actualy kill anyone.
Just get a flashing shield indicator showing I'm hitting but no red feedback hud thingy.
Still go on the US servers tho cos thats where most of the bad players are and its like easy mode. |

While I tend to agree with you, I have to keep reminding myself that most people don't have a technical background and it doesn't come easy to them. Most people don't even know there's a direct link between geography and network speeds.
