We all know that the logistics LAV is pretty flawed right now. Yes it is better than the standard LAV but it is far to difficult to target a player with your shield/armor rep modules. Either players move out of range your you just can't keep them in the targeting reticule long enough to get a lock. This is especially true when working with dropsuits but also true with tanks (though to a much lesser extent).
Here is the fix I am promoting. 1) For dropsuits. Make the armor and shield rep modules work in a way similar to the nanohives. So there would be a say 15m bubble around the LAV making it more visible and repping peoples armor/shields while the module was active. This would deal with the issue of having to aim and having a person run away while you are trying to help them. Additionally people in the LAV would be repped making it easier to extend the life of your very exposed passengers.
2) For vehicles, leave this pretty much unchanged. But make the lock time much faster. Or, as I have seen other propose, make it so you can preemptively lock onto tanks using the rep once you see their armor/shields start to drop. This would be akin to gaining a targeting lock in eve for support purposes. The number of other LAV/Tanks you can lock onto would be linked to a sensor targeting skill along with a vehicle limit.

Any buff to the rolling coffins is a good idea... especially seeing as I, a Forge Gunner, can kill them at a glance. Poor guys don't stand a chance if they have to slow down to infantry or tank speed. |

ive just started working on the lav skills the model im using at the moment fully fitted is about 1300 shields and next to no armor it survives well against AR fire but like u said a forge gun wreaks it
if i remember a forge gun does btween 1200(malita) to 1500 (proto) thats b4 u add on damage modifiers
only survived a hit from a forge once so it must have been a malitia with no mods |

The changes sound good to me.
Although I'd like to see us earn sp for shields boosted as well as repairs. As it stands now, there's very little gain I found from pumping shields into a Sagaris. Where as if it's a Madrugar/Surya the points roll in.
Sure your helping the guy in the Sagaris, but there's not much incentive compared to repping the Gallente tanks. |

If you are getting pwned by forge guns, you are doing it wrong. O.o 2x Azeotropic Shield extender 1x Ward shield amplifier 1x Fs3 Shield amplifier 1x Type-G Powergrid expansion system 1x Local Power Diagnostic System 1xSt-1 missile launcher
Charybdis 2817 HP shield (with 43.4 resists, on top of any natural resists it has) bring effective shield HP to 4039, my estimation is actual ehp is around 6,000 due to strong natural resists. (usually takes around four forge gun shots to kill it, or three sagaris railgun shots. virtually immune to small arms fire, takes around six remote explosives to kill it.) 520 hp armor 22.47 shield recharge. |
