I only have the razer headset and unfortunatly it requires driver installation SO. I was thinking about the official Sony one but word on the street is that they are terrible.
Any recommendations? |

Don't laugh but I have sensitive ear holes! My old flappy ears droop to low to contain precious ear buds, comfort to be a primary! |

Don't get one yet. Wait and see if a good footstep system is implemented in this game. |

I use a Triton. It is amazing...5.1 stereo surround sound. It is a little pricey though...my in inlaws gave it to me...think it was $120ish. But having a mic that separates volumes for game sounds and mic is awesome. I would suggest shying away from wireless as they run low on battery for long game times. |

I also have this, it is indeed $120. If you got the cash to spend though it's totally worth it, freaking amazing gaming headset. |

I personally love this headset http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/headsets/wireless-headset-f540
only issue i had with it at first was the voice feedback that it gives but I have gotten used to it. it is not surrand sound but other then that it is a nice headset.
some finer points on the headset is that it is wireless which I personally love, 9 hour battery life it is usb rechargeable. It has a separate chat and in game audio adjuster, you can mute the mic with a button or by just moving the mic in the upright position which i love. It also has a metal band across the top of the headset so. I have the pc version of this headset and love it to death which is why I bought this one. |

Depends on your budget and how much you want from a headset. |

The word on the street is wrong. I and my friends use these, clearest I've heard. And no, I don't work for or sell anything Sony. |

It's great!!! It even have a mute mic button so you can cry and talk to your wife and nobody notice, not like many other guys! |

I just bought a set of Turtle Beach P11 that are usually $60,for $40.
For the money,I think this is probably the best you can get. |

Thanks again! In that case I'd look at getting the steelseries siberia V2 with the astro mix amp. I wouldn't go for astro a40's because the headset itself is meh, it's the amp the makes them decent. However it's simulated surround sound where as the tritton ax pro's are 5.1. Good luck choosing as plenty of them are out there . |

The Turtle Beach PX5 is amazing. Surround sound, bluetooth chat integration, completely wireless, I really like it.
It even has a sound boost / eq sort of thing for footsteps or other sounds you can make louder. I keep it flat, but I get the jump on dropships hunting me and before they find me they have missiles locked and on their way. I've crushed so many militia dropships trying to squish me on my AV tower I've lost count.
If you get it, I recommend 2 sets of rechargeable batteries so you can swap them and keep going.
OH, and one of the best features - a mic auto-cutoff, so people don't hear you breathing, eating, sniffing, etc. Some of those phone headsets pick up way too much.
Also.. separate voice and game volume controls, and it boosts chat volume to compensate for loud sessions so you can hear people.
It's bluetooth for voice which can be hooked into a Mac/PC also, for Vent/Teamspeak/C3/music. |

No, this is the first headset I bought for the ps3. This is the first game I've played where I WANT to talk with other people and coordinate =)
I do like the sound quality. It seems that dust's sound still requires some work, but what I do hear is quite clear. My only complaint with the headset is that it eats batteries like Rosanne eats anything. I bought a few sets of rechargeables now that keep pace though so that issue has been addressed. |
