been wondering for awhile now are we going to be able to pick between genders? it has the option but not available in beta it seems. just thinking that wouldn't having a different character mean other bug issues as well? maybe not.. dunno just wondering. |

As far as I know genders only come into play when walking in stations hits. Then you will see your character as they look without a dropsuit or pod.
At least I hope that is how CCP has it planned. |

I believe the only difference would be your characters skin (form). Maybe a slight difference in hit detection. I believe by keeping the female gender out, they are eliminating a potential variable from their bug hunting process. (Did I miss because of bad hit detection, line of sight collision, or because the character is a girl?) I'm sure that as they iron down issues and add in more everything that you'll see this implemented.
I want my character to be a woman too ^_^ |

I think it would come down to cost effectiveness. It is cheaper to mass produce an exoskeleton of the same exterior with minor tweeks on the interior or have both be tweeked?
Yes, I am looking at this from a Caldari perspective.
One could argue an Amarr perspective although for different reasons...
Gallente would be the most likely to have a male and female suit.
Minmatar perspective would be whichever style holds more available stuff... To that end I have no idea. |

Gender choice is coming SOONGäó and from what I've heard, this variety of SOONGäó isn't going to be ready for release.

Well, when It is implemented existing characters should have option of gender reassignment, since all the females are trapped in men's bodies right now. Wow, first furries and now transgender immortal mercenaries. |

some armored booby and booty i hardly see how this will throw of hit detection ( AH **** I GOT SHOT IN THE ****!) id like to see this brought in simply because the more customization there is the more interesting other players become , guy looks like a badass i think oh **** i cant take him run away , guy looks like a rookie i blow him away , see a women underistimate or hesitate to shoot and get killed instead , lil **** like that that runs through your head makes a game awesome

I did not have the choice before I was born to choose my gender, they keep telling me that you can't make human clones of yourself to change your gender either. Go figure. |

if you add genders that can be seen in game you get huge issues and adv's with genders.
for example females have a smaller head, so they would be harder to headshot, while they also have bewbs so you could shoot them from the side easier :D
creates an imbalance imho. |
