Perhaps I am not using them right...but these 2 items don't seem to always do what they are intended when I use them.
For the Nanohives, sometimes I lay one out but my weapon won't replenish ...tried walking in bubble, in then out, jump lol.
Sometimes if I drop second one then it will work...not necessarily in the same spot; either or.
But even sometimes dropping the second one will not do it. And even sometimes just dropping one will work.
Doesn't seem to be any consistency.
As for the remote explosives...I assumed I would have to set em off by pressing a button or something on my que; but having walked over a few killing myself and seeing fellow team members or opposition dying by just going near them I thought then it was just like a proximity fuse.
However, at other times I've put out like up to 5 of them in the same area all close and everyone including myself, teamates and opposition happily go about running back and forth over them with no results.
So again, no consistency...or perhaps there's some built in factor to make them fail a percentage of the time? |

I've been using nanohives from the get-go. They've always been 100% reliable.
However, as I've gotten more comfortable with them I've also gotten sloppier, and started throwing them on non-level ground. In three separate instances this weekend I've tossed them into clefts in the terrain or into narrow spots where they cannot sit anywhere near level.
These three nanohives disappeared. Removed from view, and no incandescent sphere indicating that they were opereating but just out-of-sight.
In one of these instances I threw the hive into a known map glitch on US Plateaus Skirmish. It's a spot I've had to suicide out of before. Underneath the southern side of the pipes on the south side of A, in the westmost 'bay' of the concrete support structure for the pipes. There is a spot where the terrain dips sharply to meet the concrete support, forming a small crevice.
When I tossed my nanohive down it slid into this crevice and promptly disappeared from reality.
Right now I'm speculating that when nanohives fail to 'fire', it's a map glitch. |

If your nanohive isn't replenishing there are a few things you can try:
- Reload
- Swap to a different weapon then back again
- Swap to a piece of equipment then back again
- If all else fails, call in an LAV.
- If the LAV misses, you can press start to open the menu & select "suicide" to force your fitting to reboot (as a conveniently placed spawn location).
