You know those empty spaces on either side. Does anyone know if CCP is going to give us some kind of option to swap slots from high to low and vice versa? Instead of 4 high and 4 low swap them to make 3 low and 5 high |

Ya that won't happen not because of the different suits but they balance the suits based on slots and CPU/PG. If you start switching low to high vice versa and still have an equal amount of CPU/PG then it becomes almost impossible to balance the suits.

With the increased variety of racial gear in the final game, I wouldn't be surprised to see different suit variations that change up the number of high and low slots. We already have that to a limited degree with the "Type-II" suits. (Exchanging sidearm slot for an extra equipment, etc.)
You might have to train up those different suits separately, though. |

The empty space is usually filled with "other" modules. aka damage mods, or what have you. The problem with empty slots is more a shortage of module choice, not with the fitting system. hopefully in the final version of the game there will be modules to completely fill the suit (assuming you have the skills and PG/CPU). |

I'm talking about the slots that dont come with the suit |

I wish, but that's what gives different suits and vehicles they're advantages. |

I still think one of the weapon slots should be for the knife so I can remove it and put something useful in its place |

lol you say that but you probably havent specced it out at all, there ARE skills you know. They are also the best damage buffing skills in game at like 10% per level.
also, its the one weapon you dont have to worry about equipping.....look at it as a nice freebie instead of a burden |

I will not upgrade a melee weapon until I've spent sp elsewhere |

I'm with gangsta on this, I would like the choice to use something else in place of the knife. Its not that the knife isn't useful, but somethings would be *more* useful to me then a knife, in some fittings |
