There something that was bothering me for a while now, while we're upgrading weapon skills we're also unlocking weapons that are already stronger then the previous weapon but also even further enhanced then it it would make a lot more sense to have two separate skills for each, one to upgrade the weapon type and another to unlock a new model of that weapon type(pretty much like the drop suit skills) |

I like the weapon skills for the most part and dislike the dropsuit. The weapons skills give you incremental upgrades to the weapons, not just blanket "ok you need lvl 4 or 5 to get better, don't waste your skills till you can get it"
For the dropsuits, not sure why they didn't just blatantly copy EVE's skill tree and rename it. For instance, the "Hurricane" is a type of battlecruiser. For each battlecruiser skill, the Hurricane gets "5% increase in projectile weapons damage and Rate of Fire per level". Apply this to DUST, say the Scout dropsuit, would get 3% increase in mobility per level. Each skill increase would give you a small amount of improvement, instead of waiting to level 4 to get a new suit for a big improvement.

I wouldnt mind if dropsuits had bonuses but... we dont have factional symetry yet. |

Having played the last build, many of the skills that currently give incremental bonuses currently did not in the Replication build. It would appear they're adding bonuses to skills as they go along. I would expect that the dropsuit skills will soon reflect the others that now have those bonuses. |
