This morning I got to spend my bonus from the last beta event and thought of a way to streamline the process.
First of all, unfortunately due to family commitments I'm not able to test as much as I'd like, (2 hours/weekend) so can't skill up as quick as I'd like normally.
But whilst I was purchasing dropsuits, weapons, armour and shields I would notice in some instances I'd need certain prerequisites to use the new gear.
My thought is what about having the option to purchase and upgrade those skill sets at the same time?
What are everybody else's thoughts? |

I really like this idea. To use this you will need to purchase this -------> and it will cost this ----------> Would you like the entire package? And maybe wrapped in a nice red ribbon too! |

Perhaps not a red ribbon. It'd stand out too much on the battlefield, I'd prefer a muted grey.

I will admit I tend to go from looking at prerequisites to use and back to skill book quite often and kinda agree that it might need to be easier but making it all automatic wont solve the issue. If you are looking at say large blaster for a tank, you need what Turret ops lvl1, hybrid turret something or another lvl 4 and large hybrid I think its called lvl something. Same with missiles you might not have enough skill points so buying the whole thing at once isn't gonna happen without you investing separately. Maybe a SP book buying/learning option though under prerequisites list so you can buy 1 level at a time so if your eyeballing a certain upgrade you just have to check what you want and see the list to buy from there? |

Some sort of shortcut to get from the market/item info screen directly to the skills page would be nice. |

It is true that when you are leveling up it allows you to purchase the blue print from the market but when you buy from the market you cannot purchase skills to use that weapon...this is not necessarily bad and I don't think should be changed.
What I think should happen is that when you go to purchase something from the market that you do not have the required skills to use/operate, you should get a warning that says "Are you sure you want to buy this, you are unable to use this item until you meet these requirements..." |

Good points.
Another way it could be accomplished is when the items are fitted to your suit/vehicle a message pops up saying 'to use this you need to purchase this. Do you want to proceed?'
Obviously there will be situations where you don't have enough SP to purchase those skills a message could come up saying what skills can't be upgraded due to lack of SP and how much is required. |

How about a simple fix: on the "prerequisites" page, add a "go to skillsheet" option. It wouldn't do everything for you, and you'd still manually have to go back to the marketplace after, but it's a shortcut that will save some of your time. |

Another solution which has been suggested COUNTLESS TIMES: Make skill training like in EVE so you can set a skill training roadmap, so you can automatically learn/raise skills as soon as you have the SP. |

I had a look through the pages before posting and couldn't find anything.
But yes this would be perfect. I've never played EVE as I'm purely a console gamer so was unsure how they handled it. |
