Hey guys,
I just started playing and have a DVI adapter setup to my HDMI out and use optical out for all my games to my home theater. When I am in the PS main menu I can hear sound however i cannot hear sound in the game. I have the correct settings setup for sound out to my optical out on the ps3 selected under sound settings. Is there anything missing or is this a bug?

Same config.
HDMI->TV SET
Optical ->for sound at amplifiler
Works well.
Try use diferent 'Dolby' setings. |

I have the same dobly digital settings on my receiver and my playstation like i said it makes sound in the playstation menus? |

I just tried it it doesnt work, I use my hdmi cable straight to the monitor and dont plug in the hdmi cable to the reciver instead use the digital out to the reciver. but the sound signal is only thorugh the hdmi cable.(even though i changed the ps3 settings) this works in all other applications on my ps3 netflix other games... just not this game. When the game starts up everything goes silent. |

Does optical audio setup on the PS3 let you select the available formats like with HDMI?
If so it's possible Dust can use a format that your PS3 thinks is allowed but your receiver does not support. Try switching it to the most basic format and see if that works. |

I tried every format, you confirmed that optical out works for audio? you dont have an hdmi cabled plugged in from your reciver and is useing the audo from the reciver?
casue as soon as I start the application the audio cuts off. it works in netflix, other games other applications not in Dust514. |
