im glad its still a work in progress. i see potential but at the moment, movement feels clunky, im pretty sure those who bought aura credits do indeed have an advantage over those who havent (even though im pretty sure i remember reading some were, that this would not be the case for this game) or the militia and basic weapons are practically insignificant when stacked up next to more advanced weapons, the amount of damage that vehicles do to infantry and vice versa is way off infantry weapons do more damage to vehicles than vehicle weapons do in return to infantry.
like i said i see potential but at the moment, this game simply sucks. honestly this has got to be the worst beta i have ever played. |

You really should read the forums and research the matter before you post such things. There are many similar posters who've either received good answers in return or have been flamed to death. Either way, you couldn't be more wrong.
For starters, Dust is a true closed beta. I don't know if you've even played betas for games like BF or CoD but they aren't really betas. They are finished products being shown to an invite-only audience. What do I mean by a true beta? This is truely a work in progress. The stage we're at now is called "vehicle spam" as CCP have allowed anyone to spawn a vehicle of any kind whenever they want for no cost. That is in order to be able to balance the vehicle stats and mechanics. The previous stage was the actualy infantry balancing stage and was a very early beta stage. Some would even call it an alpha stage. We are all here now to find bugs, report them and give input as to balances.
Second. Aurum does not give you any advantage over anyone on the battlefield. Most of the people you play against just have many SP (Skill Points) and thus have trained up their skills to a very high level. That entitles them to better statistics and gear properties (ex. 15% increase in damage) and to better gear which requires higher skills. As a noob you're not supposed to go up against those veterans. Keep away from them as they will grind you up. If you want to take them on, group up with 1-2 more players and take them down.
Third. Even after the first day of playing you should be easily capable of moving out of militia gear and into tear-1 gear. You must be focused with your SP planning and aim for something. Otherwise you'll just get nowhere.
EDIT: Dust at this stage is still lacking about 90% of the actual game. There are still corporations, grouping, EVE integration, non-combat interactions, planetary construction, mining and a gazillion other things. Just let CCP put these things in when they're ready. This is not the stage for that yet. |
