It is quite possibly the coolest thing I have ever driven, with it's built in infantry repair tool and my added vehicle remote repair module, I'm digging it so much. At first I thought I was crazy for investing 2,816,000 into an LAV but oh man was it completely worth it. I think I'm the only one out there with a true logistics LAV. I just spent my first game following a tank remote rep'ing him the whole time.
Only issue is, because of the auto snap view camera, I'm having a really hard time getting the remote rep lock on the people who need it. I'm too busy fine aiming the camera to work against the auto snap forward view when I could be keeping friendly tanks and infantry alive.
Oh well, for now "practice makes perfect." |

I'm not too scared by forge guns, the Limbus I'm driving can survive, definitely, one shot from a proto forge gun. Maybe 2 if I've already got the rep going before the next one hits me.
If it's a basic forge I can take like 4-5 hits. After the shields are gone I'll typically pop on my armor rep and already be on my way out of the combat area. It's easier to escape with an LAV. |

Yeah I have yet to shoot any tier 2 LAVs so I wouldnt know how much hurt I would need to bring to floor one, but if you are escorting a surya you are going to make things really hard, possibly much harder than two sagaris/suryas. |

You have a sub-optimal fit. You could easily survive more with PDUs filling the lows. You don't even have the excuse of "as a backup" with the handheld reps. Militia logistics suit makes the best pilot suit. Uplink+repair tool. Only adds 900 to the cost. |

I'm not sure what you mean really, I've only got 3 low powered slots to work with.
I've been primarily focused on armor tanking my LAV so instead of going for shield recharging I've opted for the voltaic plating. The remote armor rep was something nice to fill the remaining CPU/PG space. |

You know what I did there... I mixed up the names of the LAVs. My bad.

Oh lol, and yes I am already using a militia logi suit with the Flux repair tool for piloting so I agree. |

After using the Limbus for a while and more importantly using the infantry remote repair that's built into it:
How much does the the built in remote rep actually repair? I can have a heavy suit full health in a manner of 4-5 seconds from near death apparently.
Scouts can go from 1/3 to full health in a blink of an eye. And it seems to have the same 3 second cooldown after I turn it off as my vehicle remote rep.
I wish I could see the stats for it in the fitting window.
Also note: If you see me in game and I'm driving slowly or parked right next to you, and you've got very low health, I'm trying to heal you. If you're a tank and I'm following behind you closely...it's because I have my remote rep already locked on to you and am ready to trigger as soon as you're attacked. |

This reminds me. The repair tool equipment is a very effective tool as many of the heavy suit and logistic suits can attest. Unfortunately, you are only as good as your speed on foot. When repairing individual troops, the repair tool reigns supreme due to the ease of use and its portability. But when it comes to vehicles, the Limbus reigns supreme due to its speed and ability to tank quit a bit of damage compared to its standard cousin.
If CCP can at least fix the targeting mechanism, the spider tanking method would then be applicable to this vehicle when teamed up with others like it. |

How many points do you get for the repairs? I halfway invested unto LAVs, before saying F it. |

I would love using the Limbus a lot more if the heavy with 10% armor that I am trying to instantly heal wouldn't bloody turn around and HOP INTO THE ****ING PASSENGER SEAT THE SECOND I ACTIVATE THE MODULE AND OH GOOD NOW IT'S ON A 30 SECOND COOLDOWN
This is assuming a player will locate themselves in front of me for the three seconds/millennia it takes to lock on
the worst part is the remote rep doesn't take up a slot so it's always there and I end up frustrating myself trying to blow a load of nanites all over some merc
Icy Tiger wrote:How many points do you get for the repairs? I halfway invested unto LAVs, before saying F it.
You might get 15 points healing a soldier assuming they are hurt enough and you satisfy all the above conditions
repairing a tank is worth significantly more points, staying behind one in a battle might get you 150 points or more from repairs in the space of a minute in ideal conditions
Which isn't really all that much compared to other activities, but mix in some roadkill and it's not awful |

I could easily make loads of points if the camera wouldn't auto center.
By the time I fight the auto center enough to get the lock on box over a team mate he's already dead or gone.
Of course it would also help if the infantry lock on was actually visible. |

How much is that fit costing you? Aside from going full proto and adding sub-skills to my weapons (capacity, effective range, etc), I've kind of run out of stuff do with logi on foot. Your success with the Limbus is tempting... |

The complete Logi LAV with remote rep and damage reducers runs me 58,870 ISK
It's 59,770 if you add in the 900 ISK Flux repair tool I drive with on my militia logi suit.

No they cannot, for the moment. I might try and make a fit with a mobile CRU instead of some of the damage reducers.
