Grenade explosion radius seems to be rather oddly listed in description.
In function they act as grenades should, and explode in a 15-20 ft DIAMETER- or around 5-6m DIAMETER. Some of these grenades are listed as 6m+ 'blast RADIUS.' Implying a 12m+ blast DIAMETER or something akin to 40+ ft across.
As a visual this is a grenade that when placed in front and center of a normal US suburban home has an actual blast diameter (not shrapnel or concussive wave) that carries from end to end.
The disconnect here is concussive kill, and wound radii that are listed for modern grenades. The actual blast diameter of a grenade is relatively small a 1-2 meters, the grenade shrapnel and concussive force on an unarmored human give it a 5m 'kill' radius and a 15m 'wound' radius sure, but those aren't blast radii.
If we want huge blast grenades- cool! If we want huge shrapnel cones and small blast grenades- great! I vote for both, and all, and more! But can we list things in correct terms so I stop twitching? |

Just being inside the blast radius doesn't mean you get the full damage. |

I get that-
I am simply saying we have used the word RADIUS instead of DIAMETER- if the numbers aren't meant to be absurd. And as a side-note was just parsing the difference between an actual blast radius, the expanding radius of chemical reaction producing high pressure/temperature gasses- and the concussive/shrapnel radii, which can be deadly or wounding, but is not technically a blast radius. |

Similar well noted typo on RE at '500m radius' or a 1Km diameter. That's a big boom. |

I wish I had something profound to say other than your post appeals to my inner pedant. And then I saw the words "Server Up" and nearly dived for the ps3 til I read the context. |

I think the grenade blast radius is right, they seem to be blast grenades. I see a shockwave moving to good radius, but no shrapnel/fragmentation particle effect.
The demo charge radius seems to be a typo. I trained the skill thinking it would take some setup time like the charges in Killzone, then have a blast like the redeemer in Unreal. I was disappointed with the short range thrown charge, it's okay but why not several types so there is a reason to train above lv1. |
