I just got into beta and started playing yesterday (promptly got my butt kicked, but that's another topic entirely).
I was curious if there is any option to make the text it the merc quarters and market screens larger. I do not have access to an HD tv, and reading the text describing the characters, and classes during character creation was very difficult, and reading the descriptions on the weapons in the market was impossible. I doubt they would have that kind of functionallity still in a closed beta stage, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, because as of right now, I can't read any of the instructions/descriptions to really do anything significant between matches. |

Well considering that the text is readable even with my smaller 19" HD screen I fear that you're hosed unless they drastically increase TV resolution which cannot be done as PAL/NTC resolution is by definition of the the standard "mushy" and will be in perpetuity.
They might have some fixes coming for PAL/NTC resolutions but at least for this build and possibly many builds after that you will be hosed.

I thought they'd made some improvements for SD tv's in this current build, it is something they are aware of, but if you're still having trouble I'd send an email to the [email protected] address just to make sure they're aware it's still not great.
You should get a response from that where you might not from here and this post may go unnoticed. |

You can get a 40" HD ready LCD-TV for about 450-500Gé¼ and used, smaller ones for half the price, you don't need a full HD mind you since PS3 only uses 720p so HD-ready will do especially if it's cheap. |

You can get a 22" full HD monitor to play on for about 100 GBP. I play on my 21.5" monitor, 1080p, and everything's very clear. The only downside is that you can't play from very far away, due to the size. |

The font is small, but you can try going into your PS3 Display settings and try with both 16/9 and 4/5. May help. |
