I mean, we -are- on Temperate planets; aren't we? The star map does show 98% water on the planet...
EDIT: Which, in the eve online star map there's a -LOT- more land than there is water on the same planet.. |

Maybe where we're fighting isn't close to water, somewhere really inland. I agree with you though, I want to see more water, more life. I don't necessarily want to see generic earth-like vegetation though; for example, grass and other plants doesn't have to be green, it all depends on the kind and amount of light received from the parent star.
Also, keep in mind that just because there is what -looks- like water doesn't mean there is life. Or life has only evolved in the oceans of what looks like water. |

I would like to see more plant life in the maps. i think it adds to the aesthetics. im actually starting to take the title "dust" to the literal sense |

It says we're on a planet in the scoreboard. If we were on a moon, we would be able to see the planet we're orbitting, and we would have a beautiful view, but we don't.

It's called "Earth" - maybe you've heard of it? Been there once or twice, perhaps? I hear it's quite a popular place for DUST players to live... |

That would be the scoreboard in the war room? Yeah that still says we're fighting on the planet from the old build, and the table in the war room still shows the old build map.

Not in the war room, but in the game itself. Press the up button to bring up the playerlist and see, and the top of the scoreboard at the end of the game. I really don't see why they would need to change planets anyway in beta testing. |

It still looks suspiciously like most of the Plateaus map. And you get the point from that (which was about 5 secs on Google images. I could find better if I cared). |

If you look on the star map and zoom in on the planet that says "you are here" it's definitely temperate with a lot of water lol.
edit: even then devs said at Fanfest they were doing Temperate planets first and moving on to the rest later. |

I think maybe Temperate would refer to a planet sitting roughly around the triple point of water.
Demanding vegetation presupposes life evolved on said planet. |
