Title pretty much said it all, am from Asia Middle East in particular and am wondering if will have a server to play on later builds or at least on release?
You US and EU don't know how lucky you are having your own servers and ping times around 50 ms I just want to play with you guys without all that lag and delay i feel like i am 2-3 sec behind everyone on the game its frustrating playing like this.
I did ping test to the two servers on the beta and here are the results: EU: 150+ ms US: 300+ ms Knowing that am at disadvantage all the time makes me sad, i love online gaming but i always face this problem of not being able to enjoy the game due to lag and ping issues.
EDIT: I have premium internet connection so i know its not the problem. |

This is the case with almost every game, and my guess is it's a business/financial issue. Running a server costs money, so it has to make sense financialy to set one up in a region. The US and EU always have servers because they are big gaming markets, so keeping customers there well connected and happy is priority. Unfortunatly Austrailia and Asia are smaller markets, i probably wouldn't expect them to have their own server at release. However if DUST becomes popular and profitable enough i see no reason why they wouldn't eventually get servers. |

Hosted blades are dirt cheap to lease......there is no excuse except greed if there are no servers in Australia but there are thousands of players.... |

Actually, CCP might be saving a universe for you. I can't remember it's name but EvE china is a totally different galaxy, the 2 don't link. Asia might provide the Chinese with Dusters. I can't wait for the recorded voice chats. All speculation. "so a chinaman, an Australian and a Malaysian walk into a bar..." |

It's just a beta atm, and most of the EVE players (and a lot of the interest) will be in the EU and US. It'll be cheaper to host servers in the EU and US atm, but I'm sure they'll have servers for other countries too. Although, if there are corp battles, I can't see it working out too well to have a corp from the EU and a corp from Aus to battle it out on a EU or Aus sever... |

Main server cluster for EvE is in London and since the whole of EvE is on one single server separating DUST server for pacific might require some creative tinkering. Havig a separate DUST wouldn't be half an issue if EvE would use shards like the other MMO's since you could then just open up a "pacific server" and voil+í.
Also problem with lag is that it works on both ways and having say 1/5th of the known universe in australia would mean that the rest of the world population invading that specific 1/5th part of EVE (now residing in australia) would suffer from lag instead.
So either way someone is going to suffer from lag eventually and let's be honest I'm just glad I live in EU. |

We will indeed expand our battle server infrastructure across the globe. As for Asia pacific I'm afraid that we have yet to comment on our full lineup for launch, but as the game is developed primarily in Shanghai and our Infrastructure Lead is Australian its a safe bet that we will support the other half of the globe SOONGäó. |
