Theres a lot of people names that say [Veteran and then the name]. Whats up with that here on the forums? What does it mean? Is it a Corp or something? |

Vetrans are people like me who had accounts here before the last game reset. I believe it had something to do with the fact that we can't make 2 chracters with the same name, so the Vetran title was for all the deleted accounts.
My prior name was "Gellas Gentralde" cause I had a typeo. haha |

actually, i think they did the name wipe only because there were some overlapping names in EvE and DUST 514, if I heard it correctly. So I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think they'll do a FULL character wipe (wiping your name). |

yea the last wipe was name and all because ccp integrated dust's and eve's name databases |

Well I have the exact same name as I did before the beta wipe and no veteran on mine. so really no idea. |

From what I can tell, if you recreated EXACTLY the same name, your old "Veteran" posts get updated with the remade name.
It only indicates that the name is no longer in use by the same person who posted here using it. |

That doesn't seem to be valid. I just checked and my oldest post is post-wipe. There is nothing linked to me from before June 28th.
On the other hand, I can't find any of my earlier posts. I'm ont sure I can actually search for veteran character posts.
Edit:
I have the exact same name now as I had before the wipe. Same exact character actually. |

the simple answer all threads before june 29th are veteran so everyone that posted in threads before june 29th will have veteran in front of their name. Any thing after the 29th is not a veteran thread. |

I wasn't here before the wipe, but I've seen SOME old posts where the person's name is listed normally - without the "Veteran" tag.
It was a guess, but a logical one. |
