I seen a few eve guys put up good #'s but its mostly people I recognize from a game which I wont mention but yeah the randoms are sometimes terrible

I am bad - never played a fps before never played a ps3 before - added to which I am getting old and slow. If you see me in your team and you are gonna get all raging you have been warned - cos for sure right now I don't gve two ***** as I am learning how to play.

By the time game goes live I expect to be "ok" - I will never be great, ( or do you call it l33t ?) but you know what I play games for fun so all the time I am enjoying it I will play and do the best I can.

I am always happy to receive constructive advice so if you have a mic feel free to give it as I have voice coms open.

People like that just don't know how to play real shooters anymore.

They've become spoiled by modern shooter hand holding gimmicks:
Lack of dealing with/finding defensive stationary targets - Kill Cam
Lack of territory defense/momentum skills - Being spawned away from the enemy to seemingly random positions lol
Lack of team skills due to K/D stat focus (promotes solo play)
Lack of patience/survival skills, just bum rush 24/7 pew pew - Health regen
Don't even get me started on killstreaks, deathstreaks and mini-maps showing exact positions on map of where someone is shooting. Get out of here with that crap.

Put those kind of people in a shooter that has high learning curve and it doesn't end well for them. My bad, shooters these days are about selling entertainment. Well, that used to be the entertainment, the learning curve. Now it's just getting rewarded for doing bad. Signs of the times I guess.

I would start with these 3:

1. Metal Gear Solid 4
2. Grand theft Auto 4 w/ all dlc
3. Red Dead Redemption

These are Mega titles that you will love.

Why? Because you have 300 ping instead of 40. Or just ask CCP to close the US server if you really don't want to use it. Why is 9/10 people on here just looking to **** people off?

People say to me "it's a beta" but I have still not see a true meaningful improvement so when are the true fix coming?

These are the types of things that create bad communities. If someone isn't as good as you, don't go onto a public forum and say how lame, bad, horrible, noobish, etc. they are. There are lots of people that may not have your reflexes, your "god" like abilities in a FPS. Many play to enjoy a game. Do they want to lose? No. Granted there are many players that camp, and sometimes they truly just don't care or whatever. But it doesn't give anyone a right to go bashing on people, especially in a beta when all will be wiped. Once corps come into play and group, then you won't have to worry about the type of players you complain about. For now, just bear it. I for one, am not an elite player. But I give what I can. My best runs are usually 15/4 on average. Also, I take meds that do effect my game play, as it slows my reflexes or have a bit of a shake from it. But I will still play. This same type of player bashing has happened on voice comms. Once directed towards me. I don't have a mic, but I did hear it. Again, another reason to have player mutes.

I know I will probably get flamed for this. But that will just show the quality of the community. I have also heard many good community players on comms. XProtoman, I had the priveldge of playing with you on comms the other day. Although I may not agree with some of the things on your posts, you were still fairly respectful on comms. Many people I play with that I can hear, have been great to play with. These are the players I look forward to play with in the future.

Just remember, this is a beta. Yes, it always comes back to that. We are here, VOLUNTARILY, to help find bugs and such. Not to see who the best player is. Let's keep this community helpful, not destructive.

Shouting at bad noobs and getting angry is always the best way to get better results from your team mates.

We might have a little project going for this actually.
Saw a guy get something like 0/17 in skirmish and some of us wanted to get him in our corp. ThatGÇÖs some balls sticking that out and not rage quitting.
Hell if he/she can be that determined thereGÇÖs no knowing what he might be able to do with a little guidance and help.

I did. I added a move to it just for kicks. Not everybody's a poor high school kid. ;) Expect lots of EVE players in Dust willing to invest in their hobby. I'm just a casual guy too.

Oh and I can't play either because I have lag on my EU servers and I have 100mb connection wired!
I can play any game on US/ASIA servers with minimum lag but I can't play Dust 514 properly on server that are near to me.

I will be able to fully use Gaikai and have PC games on my PS3/PS4 with very little latency & lag but I can't play Dust 514.
