I was playing for my first time today, and I was just walking happily out of my spawn in my bad ass scout suit ready for my first battle, when all of a sudden I magically got crushed by something.
It said I was crushed in the kill feed by somebody but I think it's a glitch or something because it's bullshit.
My second time spawning, I decide to call down a jeep(idk how I have it didnt even spec for it) and while im trying to figure out the controls I just ******* blow up. Completely randomly just fuckin blow up. WTF is that supposed to be? Is there a limit on how long you can stay still? It might have been a gunship or something.
Then the rest of the game I get blown up by invincible tanks at the spawn.
I am really like a hard core noob or does this game hate me? I need some back feed. |

In the current build we can all call down militia vehicles which are pretty crappy though they can be beefed a litle with the right modules.
What crushed you was likely a drop ship as the DEVS f*cked up the collision detection so now they use drop ships to squish people who are not careful, your jeep was likely blow up by that same drop ship that squished you right before.
also spawn camping happens since this build isn't finalised, hopefully we will get a new build to test in a few weeks as something big has been promised/expected for august. |

^This. Don't worry too much about it though. Not all games will be like that, I promise you...BUT you will get the occasional game where that happens. Just keep playing. It gets better. |

The spawning system is still being worked out, so currently the placeholder is that at each spawn location there is only one single spot that everyone spawns from. So right now everyone spawn camps these spots. What this means for you, is that if you die immediately after spawning, someone is probably camping that spot and you need to choose a different location. Take a look at your overhead map and try to spawn at a location with teammates protecting it. |

You could have been crushed by a vehicle being dropped for one of your team-mates - vehicle deliveries around the spawn point can kill you too, watch out.
The 'explosion' is hard to judge, but enemy turrets around the attacker spawn fire shots that explode when they hit and this would kill you instantly. That's my best guess - unlucky though dude. |

I remember this feeling the first time I flew a dropship. While trying to figure out the controls, it is likely you ended up driving away from the action and into the red zone.
There is a timer that comes up on the HUD warning you to get out of the red zone, but I almost never see it and have to keep myself actively paying to the boundaries lest I "randomly" blow up again. |

As for how you have the "jeep" (LAV, by the way, but we all know what you mean), at the moment EVERYONE gets a default LAV (jeep), HAV (tank) and Dropship. You also have the abilitiy to buy "Militia" vehicles which don't require training to unlock, and which can be freely re-used with no cost involved in their replacement. |

If you die a lot, tanking skills. Look at shield operation IV, then shield management, and also mechanics. Each level gained in mechanics or shield management raise the amount of your armor or shield by 5%. |
