Has it dawned on them that nobody is playing Ambush. Everytime that I log in it appears that hundreds are playing Skirmish, while only 20 or so peeps are playing in Ambush........I am not sure why that is and am certainly not complaining--I play both--but it is what it is.
Nobody is playing Ambush on either map!
Maybe it is a sign that it is a dead mode and should be forgotten and abandoned now, while we are still in Beta.
What y'all think/ |

I think the spawns make ppl go  ? I think it will be much more popular with more ppl. I like it as is |

I find when I play, there's usually 40-50 people playing Ambush on the Communication map.. maybe a handful playing on Plateau. I like to switch things up between Skirmish and Ambush.. I also find the Ambush games a little quicker, so if I have a bit of a time crunch and want to get my Dust on (eww..) I play a round of Ambush for a quick fix and infusion of ISK and SP.. that said, the best ROI is in Skirmish, I find.. |

I don't see ambush dissapearing any time soon. Reason being that we don't really know exactly how fighting for control of a planet is going to work out yet.
We're playing on a huge map (next time anyone respawns, R2 / L2 to zoom in/out). What if that map is divided among several battles while each battle is playing it's own game type? There might be a couple skirmishes, an ambush, and maybe a few other things we have yet to see.
It has its place, but since we're given a choice on our game type... we like Skirmishes :v |

Ambush has to stay, even though I don't play it. Team deathmatch is te basis for all other game modes in an FPS. Five it minimal support compared to skirmish until te TDM community get jealous. |

I just checked it at 9:48am EST........70 plyrs on skirmish (which is light for skirm) and 0! on ambush.......I sh@t you not. |

I like Ambush because I can q sync with my alliance mates over Ventrilo and always get in the same game. |

Goina say that its mostly empty cause only 800-1000 people are playing in the "CLOSED BETA" at a time.
whereas, almost all multiplayer games have 10x that amount playing at any one time.
Its empty cause people want to play the beta fast and efficiently. No one wants to wait 10 min for a match, this isn't first gen COD.
Ambush is a mode by its nature designed for elite players.
so out of the 1000 players online only 20 have the balls to play it.
This isn't new, if the full game comes out and no one plays it, then of course they would scrap it. |

I frankly dot see a point in ambush mode.
Skirmish is what makes sense in a EVE setting. We fight to achieve objectives, to conquer or die trying.
Ambush is just mindless killing with no point but kill before being killed. Boring and has no real sense of progression.

I play almost exclusively in Ambush right now. Guns are more important, not vehicle spam. I can at least camp inside a building and still murder people while the dropships try and spam the doors. Getting spawned right on top of three reds is getting old but I can live with it in Beta. Remove Ambush and I'll be pissed. |

Don't be silly Proto. Spawn camping in Dom was worse than in Dust. Bring back the 2 part maps!!! |
