Wish people would think more on this - seriously. Maybe War Decs in Eve Online wouldn't have been so ****ing badly castrated because "dog-piling" happened.
They've got more friends than you expected. Cry some more, don't complain to the devs about it. |

Exactly.
The problem with the braying masses is that they can get quite loud, but they're also usually the first to jump ship when they get what they demanded and realize it was a horrible idea. |

Yes, because that one particular alliance we all know and hate will jump ship the moment they get their game breaking changes after three weeks of the feature being implemented.
And yes, they changed the War Dec system -three weeks- after it was implemented because that particular alliance got their balls kicked so far into their pelvis that they were stricken with disbelief that they could actually lose. |

Using the eve war example was that for the earliers times a new rising and developing corp would get dog piled to death, I've been though several corps that went though this ordeal soon as one 'bully' got down beating the poor kids lunch money out of them another instantrly replaces them demanding tommarow's lunch money. The massive outcry of injustic was mostly ignored until the vitcims came up with a clever counter. Which was to join an allaince where the war gets shedded off as they dont follow you to the new organization.
Once in they can leavy instantly and the war declarers would wind up with nothing but missing isk.
Now the 'bully' corps began complaining citing an exploit in the mechanics and began crying just as much as those who in this newer era where not smart enough about getting dog piled on.
So then basically the developers said screw it, we are going to hammer both sides. The Faker PVP Bully corps can wind up fighting a war they lose in because the victims thought it better to hire somone to blow them up to smitherines from somone who acutally enjoys and understands PVP. The victims can still run away to an allaince but the war fallows them and if the alalince is feeling generous they'll bring the pain unto the hostiles.
Either way its not balanced its not imbalanced perfectly but its just enough to kitten more people off when things are no longer going the way they planned.
As for the dust 514 in its current state, last week people where complaining about the Sagaris, This week the number of compltaints about how many sagaris are getting destroyed should be rising. Blew up 12 yesterday.
None the less I think most anti infantry guns needs to power creep up to the assault breaches standards. Excludes shotguns and scrambler pistols they feel just about right but other anti intantry needs have closer amount of kill time. So far everythng else seems to be in good killing order. |
