well.. i Dl'd dust a few days ago.. got on the game for the first time tonight. and after playing the game for 6-7 hours i noticed a few things.. at first i raged at how the scope is extremely sway'ey until i figured out you have to be patient, an awesome drawback for the sniper i'll be expecting to see in future title's such as blackops 2. etc.
HOWever. i think the dust 514 crew have over nerfed the sniper within consideration to the addition of heavy's. heavy's description is that: they can take alot more "small-arms fire". which, i would class as assault rifle's smgs and pistols.. not shotguns/ snipers. im saying this because i've been hitting heavy's in the head.. and they just chew the bullet up, spit it out, and run for cover until their HP refills. (frustrating). then pop out with their what tends to be a forge gun and one shot you from the same distance. (even more frustrating)
but thats not all, with heavy's taking 4-6 shots snipers are practically useless vs them if the right module's are used on the heavy's class.
so, i propose a notion that 1 of 3 things be added to the sniper. i'll give pro's and cons to each.
just for reference the amount of shots roughly to kill a class: (no headshots) logistics: 2-3 assault : 2-3 scout: 1-2 heavy: 4-6
1. increase bullet damage ( not a fan of this...)
p: would solve the dastardly heavy's OP'ness. c: would unbalance the odd's vs logistics and assault classes
2. increase bullet dmg ONLY after a player's shields are down. an added bonus to snipers which means extra dmg wouldnt allways be applied.
p: would solve heavy issue, as it only take's 1 shot to remove shield, which, co-incedently it only take's 1 shot on assault/logitics. meaning heavy's will go down easier under sniper fire, but other classes will remain unaffected.
c: i... actually cant think of one? so long as it doesn't work on vehicle's i dont think there is a con.
3. increase ammo capacity of all sniper's by +2. meaning a previous 3 shout would become a 5.
p: means you dont have to wait, reload and find the guy who is surely now in cover, refilling his hp gauge if it hasnt allready. doesnt really solve the issue with heavy's, but gives a sniper more of a chance vs groups of logis/assault's. (not solving our problem...)
c: snipers can now effectively just "spray" when in close combat.
i'd love to hear some other opinions on this, maybe i can inspire someone to come up with something more reasonable?
and.. can i just say, i'm really keen on #2 ( dmg bonus when shields are down)
im sorry i see NO bugs or things that need to be buffed other then more dmg btw i make a living off snipers and i say there fine . |

i mowe down teams with my sniper fit so no we dont need to fix them or you will here the wine-o,s crying how BAD FURRYS PLAYING GOD WITH A SNIPER RIFELS !! |

START expecting OHK shots against a suit built to take a vehicle round or two and still retaliate 3. light weapon damage bonus modules are one of a sniper's BEST friends, carry as many as you can. 4. prioritize your targets in order of ease of killing 5. carry an SMG for up close SHOOT TO KILL / emergencies 6. DONT carry grenades Wasted of CPU AND PG !!! 7. start WTFPWNing EVERYTHING AROUND YOU that's on the field. 8. look up 9. see dropship 10. KILL ITS GUNNERS !!! 11. CALL A OB ON IT !!! 12. LOL YOUR @$$ OFF AND GO BACK TO STEP 7 !
