It's CCP's nifty way of letting you know that section is not part of the beta yet. It will be developed later on. |

Don't know where I heard it first, whether from the Duke Nukem Forever devs or Blizzard http://www.wowwiki.com/Soon |

Unicorn, I really, really hope Valve time doesn't apply to CCP.
I mean, you're very punctual with your seasonal expansions for EVE.... :) |

Basically, Soon (tm) refers to the fact that you have heard a company say something is coming "Soon" soo many times that you no longer believe it, or believe it's in the far future.
For instance, "When are new Giligans' Island episodes going to air?" Broadcaster "Soon!" 3 months later - "When are new Giligans' Island episodes going to air?" Broadcaster "Soon!" 6 months later - "When are new Giligans' Island episodes going to air?" Broadcaster "Soon!"
"When are you putting in a new planet?" Game Company "Soon"....... 1 year later "When are you putting in a new planet?" Game Company "Soon"
You've heard it so many times, it's become overused and so now they (the ones saying "Soon") have now trademarked the phrase. |

Im not really sure that CCP knows that why then say Soon(tm) it really tells us that it wont be coming out for a long time or ever. It started being used a lot when people were talking about 'walking in stations'. which isn't out yet... And Im not sure if it ever will. |

From CCP, I have personally seen Soon(tm) be anything from a few weeks to several years. |

The people at DICE used to tell us that back on EAUK (before EA closed it down....) last September because evryone kept asking for the BF3 beta date. Every response was SOONGäó.
