Dear CCP,
There have been many players being annoyed and killed by drop ship pilots using the very thing they drive as a hammer and though I do like doing it myself it seems BS, so I have proposed a few solutions/suggestions that may better dropships and keep the pilots from just using them for hammer time on troops for lolz.
Suggestions
1) Landing phase
2) Natural hover distance from the surface/ground
3) Combo of both
The slow/gentle landing phase would make the ship actually land like any actual aircraft pilot would do, Lessening the contact the dropship has with the ground and the possible damage on impact with the ground on landing too fast.
Natural hover distance off the ground/a surface(small enough a troop can stand below) would complement the drop ships landing phased as a buffer with the ground so donGÇÖt damage the dropship when quickly descending.

Collision damage is FUBAR in this patch. It is being tweaked to work. It seems like they got it inverted or something. Move slowly and take massive damage. Slam the ground at full dive and take 1%. Beta, WIP, yada yada |

are they changing the collision damage values during this build at all? what are we supposed to be doing while we play?
i feel dropsihp ramming everyone will force them to engage me and start shooting me. otherwise i would just be flying around in circles getting shot at for no reason at all.
i need to drive some fear into peoples minds about dropships. |

when i start annoying everyone in the match they can all start spamming swarm missles at me and we can see how many swarms i can dodge at once. please everyone spawn with swarm launcher when i do my dropship tests. |

Well, militia vehicles are going to lose their free status before the next patch. So we shall see if it is still the spam issue it is now. |
