dudes i just happened to be browsing the eve forums looking for more information to study up for dust. But this just got under my skin you can find the forum link after the statement.-

I've been in a LOT of betas and have never seen anything this bad visually. I was hoping it was just the console. No biggie, just a kiddie shooter anyway.
I just need to remember console games may make the companies that create them more money, but they're still garbage.
 KIDDIE GAMES!!!, GARBAGE!!!, well i have to say that the betas this guy were in must have been for the Atari system and that he is still playing on an old TRS 80 (tandy COMP. for those of you not old enough) to be an eve player and to criticize CCP for the quality of graphics at this stage, what a douche (sorry for any offensive language). I say that this should be a rally cry for us "KIDDIE GAMERS!" to rise up, in defense of our "Garbage" games. Do not let the stupidity of one eve player sway the decision of prospective players away from the glorious project that is and shall forever more, be known as DUST 514!

consoles are just limited computers, limited to entertainment. Plus, they're a lot cheaper than a gaming computer. So thus, that person is an idiot.
Edit: Also, quite a few of those players are self-conceited and deserve to just lose whatever they play, such as (but not limited to): CoD, CoD 2, CoD 3, CoD MW, CoD MW2, CoD WaW, CoD BO, CoD BO2, CoD MW3, EvE x 14 due to all its expansions, CA, and any game that creates these self-conceited players.
Edit 2: Self-conceited players are garbage and don't realize that one day we're going to be taking their stuff. Sure, I play the PS3, but I'm from the PC base. We're the ones who will be taking their stuff and ruining their gameplay as a whole. Orbital strikes from these self-conceited players will be rejected to be called upon. Take away their lasers, their power, their money, and they're just a pile of self-conceit. Everyone should take note of these people, because they don't realize that if they don't accept other groups, then they'll be taken over, just like the original 13 Colonies, or the Japanese in WW2, or even Russia. Arrogance will be their downfall, rest assured. 1 man who stands against an alliance of 3000+ is a walker of follies. |

and ^ that guy, its not really a support question, but can be filed as a complaint. This thread is just a rallying apparently. He wants us to realize that people like this exist (even if there are hundreds of other threads.)
Edit: however, this does qualify under general discussion for DUST 514 players, considering they're talking about us... |

this is not a request for support, this is only general discussion about the way SOME eve players think of the console version of their universe and i was just wondering in GENERAL DISCUSSION if this was something that the evecorps in general felt about dust players. i mean if so then i believe that these corporations are going to be in for a big surprise in the following months. and i for one am going to do my best to show players like this that we can more than hold our own. |

You will find alot of bitter eve players who are butthurt over the fact its on PS3 and not PC. Ignore em because you wont find many of them here in this beta. Belive it or not alot of the ones here are actualy really excited about dust and many got a PS3 just for it tho we are no doubt a minority of the eve player base.
Try not to tar em all with the same brush. |

There are a lot of players who enjoy being bitter. Ignoring them improves my quality of life. |

LOL this is what i was wanting to do, start discussion on this topic to see how everyone else felt. I personally have waited for this so long, and I am so excited to be beta testing this, that it just gets under my skin to hear someone put it down without giving it a real try. Look how EVE has evolved over the years, I have no worries that CCP will make this a major must have for the PS3. This beta is proving to be mostly what I was hoping for and it is only getting better with the builds. That is one of the main reasons I just went Saturday and bought a new 320 gig that is now one of the most prominently displayed items in my house. complete with A dust wallpaper displayed in full 56" HD glory. only thing I regret is that my bedroom ps3 is only a 36" screen, but hey got to have pleasant dreams.  |
