i suspect you have been waiting for this question CCP so here it is.
will we see dust tournaments in the future, like those hosted by ccp for the eve online players ? have you thought about running them ? could you envisage them running at the same time the eve online tourney runs.
maybe exclusive ( rare ) weapons only given out by CCP as prizes that could be used in dust or sold for hard isk in eve-dust. maybe run the qualifiers over a year where a league based table is used, those in the top 2-3 go through to the final rounds and final battle
would like to read your views on this CCP dev's / GM's |

I read somewhere that tournaments are coming but when, I don't know.
Tournament prize should be cash imo as in e-sports it usually is. |

i would rather have a unique items used ingame that real world cash.
eve has done really well giving away exclusive ships and ingame isk away as prizes. i also think its kind of wrong giving real life money as a prize.
game items can be lifechanging ( in the way of untold isk/items ingame) this gives a player unique items only those that won the tourney recieves.
just image your wining team/corp receives new logistics suits with an area of effect remote armor repair projection. spider tanking 4tw, now imagine selling that suit to close on 20 billion isk / 100 million arum |

Hmm... Money or the tricycle?
I think that the winners should be awarded real money as they do in SC2, LoL and even in Quake. (I know, I know, this is something totally different)
Not that the CCP's way of doing this is any worse but I think that if Dust wants to be a major league esports, they need cash prizes. Well imo atleast. |

This is in the road map for 2013 at the very least. I mean, "Dust: the e-sport" (I believe they called it the "Gladiator Arenas") expansion will be out sometime next year. |
