RADAR
Dropships should have radar that spots nearby enemy troops and vehicles within sensor range. This information is then relayed to the pilot as well as the gunners for that particular ship.
RADAR FOR GUNNERS
The radar is then split between the two gunners in 180 degree half circle radar window under the gun sights but will not be displayed when the gunner zooms in because the gunner will not be looking at the LCD on the back of the gun, but through the gun's sights.
RADAR FOR PILOTS
The pilots radar is displayed in 360 degree radar window with the ship displayed in the middle, ship radar will display incoming missile threats as well as enemy troops and vehicles within sensor range.
SKILL POINTS FOR PILOTS
As dropship pilot we don't get enough credit for what we contribute to the war effort. We are skilled aviators who bring in top of the line ships, and ordinance to bare against hostile forces which we do pay for. Yet we don't get enough skill points for gunners kills.
SKILL POINT SULUTION FOR PILOTS
Pilots should be given extra skill points for the amount of time they stay airborne with a particular ship. so if you get shot down you only get 50% of the flight time SP in addition to vehicle Kills assist points which grant more SP then before.
If you have any ideas to add please post them below!

"Radar" within a certain range already exists, they are just not enabled on the market. These modules are called active scanners and reveal enemies within a certain radius. Months ago when they were enabled they had around a 200m range. |

Nice, i just played the beta this past weekend and loved it, as a past eve player i fell right into the complex nature of this game. but i do think that they need to add the 180 degree to the bottom of the guns the sight picture is way to funneled to look around in the gunner position. i find myself stuck when gunners do not have or have not enabled their mics.
The first person view on the drop-ships needs to be expanded as well, as for the moment they are way too funneled.

Getting SP for the brave feat of not being shot sounds bad. Rather, people who spawn from your junk should confer onto you some bonus SP for a period of time after they dismount/bail out and go shoot doods in the face. That way you need to actually be doing something useful (i.e. spawning allies somewhere they'll be able to get kills/caps from) rather than just AFK hovering in a safe area. |

Yet another "dedicated" pilot who is crying about his work. Not that dedicated are you? If you don't like the system then do something else.
You don't risk as much safety as anyone on foot does, nor do you do as much, so you shouldn't get as many points.
In every FPS with vehicles and gunner seats, the pilot/driver never gets as many points as the gunner. It's like this for a reason. Stop trying to leach more off of other peoples accomplishments of killing people. |

I do like how the current lights ARE functional any enemy spotted by the dropships lights are tagged on the tach net. |

Reward pilots when someone spawns in their Dropship.
Keep the current Assist points for a pilot when their gunners score Kills. Add in a (further reduced) bonus when a gunner earns an Assist - but only apply ONE bonus for each kill, not both bonuses when one gunner hurts a target then the other one finishes them.
Giving a pilot some measure of reward for the actions of recently-transported or recently-spawned teammates is a good idea, too. |

Unlike most pilots I actually help take objectives by supporting the boots on the ground taking them.
How is that possible you ask? Well my ship stays over an objective longer than most because I know what I am doing on my builds, so more support is rendered.
Without a good build, as well as pilot gunners would not have had that many kills or a good K/D.
For example two of my buddies got epic sp in one skirmish, as one went 32-0 and the other went 21-0 both had over 200,000 sp but I only got 30,000 sp do the math.
I also wait for troops at the rear of the spawn to get into my ship. I drop them off over an objective or a roof to provide sniper cover, but lots of like minded individuals like yourself just spawn their own ****** ships and just bail over an objective.
As for your narcissistic comment, were have you seen me in any of my post ask for anything to be buffed or nerfed, but I bet you have. If you took the time to read the title of this thread it says new and interesting ideas and not rants.
Just a little hit, You can't have a good pilot and assault toon if you try right off the bat you end up with two ****** toons like you might have. It will take years to develop/build a balanced toon.
Take your meds little boy and keep your running and gunning skills up, but cut down on running your mouth on irrelevant, un structured arguments.
P.S- I hope you received your daily dose of negative attention.

I should have worded it differently;
So let's say the developers had a specific zone around an objective at a particular height were if you are in a dropship and are actively engaging in supporting the troops defending or taking an objective; sp will be added to your toon, now if you leave that bubble or zone you stop collecting sp

WRONG just because we can pull up and flyaway at will doesnt mean we are in any less danger. Any good pilot know the real difference between your ship and a flaming pile debris is mostly up to how much pwnage your causing or to use a better term, how much Aggro youve generated. It ever only a matter of time before all the swamers, batteries, and forge guns overpower my endlessly regenerating sheilds/armor and we all go down But he is right somewhat; atm pilots and dropships have much bigger issues then point contributions and allocation so us flyboys need to stop crying |
