First of all, I would just like to say thank you to the guys at CCP for creating such an incredible game. I've had a blast playing the beta this last weekend and can't wait for the next one.
I do have one suggestion though. Is there anyway that each slot in the build creation screen could have some sort of tooltip that explained each slot and which types of items can be equipped there? I think it would help to streamline the process for beginning players to know what each slot is for. It took me a while to figure out what went were. lol. Thanks! |

Thirded
The game really needs more help/tutorial type stuff in general. Honestly the first time i logged in i probably spent 2 hours in the menus looking at skills, the fitting menue, the market, pretty much everything just trying to figure out what the heck i needed to do. After that two hours i logged off and went to bed. The next day i logged on, probably spent another 30 min- 1hr looking at stuff in the menue, got a decent handle on what i needed, and then jumped into a match equipped only with the default fits. Confusion all over again as i tried to figure out what all the blips on the map meant, what my objective was, and how the hell to hit anything with the swarm launcher. Fun fact: I didn't figure out i could lock on with the SL until the next day. I still managed to take out two dropships "hip firing" it while they hovered in place so i had some small victories to keep me coming back
Beta is beta , so i didn't expect that kind of stuff to be in place anyway. At release though it's gotta be there, because most people wont spend 2 hrs trying to figure out how to play the game, they'll just log out and go play something else. |

something i would also like to see at the moment is a list of how many and what type of module slots are available on each dropsuit under their respective descriptions in the market.
that way i don't have to buy a dropsuit, then go to the fittings screen to see how many of what type of module i can slot, then go back to the market to buy said modules.
at the moment it lists shield points, armor, available CPU and PG, but no "low power slots ( | ) : 2, high power slots ( : ) 1, light weapon slots ( L ) 1... " just think it would help for fitting creation. i'm pretty sure they did this in EVE when you look at ship descriptions. if this is somewhere in the stats and i'm missing it, bonk me over the head and point me in the right direction, pls :) and if i'm putting the wrong icons for slot types, please forgive me, i'm still working on learning that, too.
and if each suit is only designed to have one of each weapon slot, then i suppose we could leave that off, but if there are dropsuits in the works to have 2 light weapon slots or something, then i think it would still be relevant. and it would let you know that your new heavy suit doesn't have anywhere to put that awesome new CreoDron that you just picked up. or that you could put it in the heavy slot, or whatever. |
