This is just the balancing issue I noticed or other people on the forum have noticed that should be accumulated into one general post as well as my take on how to fix them.
Dethroning the Breach assault right now it is the only gun of choice I think working on the hit detection, adding kick and improving the other weapons at their intended role would make other weapons more viable to use. Kick is a major thing that the guns should have to make the OP breach more on equal terms with other guns; I can kill a guy with the creodron half way across the new map with hip fire.
So improve hit detection Add kick (higher damage = more kick) Improve the other guns at their intend role slightly.
Remote explosive, this is a major problem with people running around and throwing these around like grenades, I think adding a 2.sec wait to set (add skill for lowering this) and 2 sec to arm. (adjust the arming timing for different varitio) will stop people from dropping them all over the place in the middle of a fight, by having them stop kneel down set, and then giving it another 2 sec to arm.
Question do you have to click a detonator to make one of these explode or is it proximity based
Add 2sec setting time, player has to stop to set Add 2sec arming time after being set
Spawn Camping is a major problem, I think randomizing the respawn within a general area will fix this, to an extent spawn camping however should be complete removed when your taking an objective you should be able to stop reinforcements from appearing all around, so maybe expanding the area that you could spawn in might help. I think this way people can still cover the general respawning area just not all of it.
Expand the area we can respawn in More random within that area
This are the things that I keep noticing that need fixing if anyone has different ideas I have little doubt you will tell me, but if a dev or Gm could say if any of these are being looked into, and being fix by the devs the community would appreciate it so we could be on the look out for other less obvious stuff |

Just to toss in my two cents, I am fine with it taking more time to plant the REs however the detonation should be instant, otherwise you would just be nerting REs and punishing the people that use them correctly already, for taking our vehicles and setting traps.
The spawning problem I personally want to be solved by there being a radius around your spawning area and *drop* in facing any direction you want. That is not outside the realm of realism in the EVE universe. And I think that is my two cents worth. |

Or if you changed the mechanism for detonating the RE, since you can see any of your planted REs even from across the map, what if by aiming at it (even through walls) and triggering it, it would detonate just that one and holding the trigger would preform a complete demo, that would add a more controlled and tactical and less trigger happy aspect to it.
However still making it a longer planting time. |

holy **** someone responed to my thread, you are my favorite person alive today.
maybe it might give more in game reason to waiting 10sec.
not the detonation, once you have the RE out and set you should have to wait for the charge to arm itself and for you to get away from it, after its armed you could detonate it when ever. |

I agree the AR is a little bit too accurate and slightly too powerful, but it SHOULD be the best overall weapon for most medium range situations. The guns shouldn't all be equally balanced against one another, they should be balanced against their CPU/PG usage, and dependant on the situation. |

so for example the breach should be good for killing some one down a hall way or within a fairly sized room, hence breach meaning to create a breach. the tacticl should be used when your moving across long open ground, or from towers. the standard should be the normal assualt rifle with a equal balance in everything. the burst should limit kick and be able to kill people in 2 or 3 burst.
shotguns and SMG should be king at up close combat the breach shotgun should be able to clear a small room of most target in two shots so maybe increase its spread a bit but reduce the range, oppiste goes for the standard shotgun reduce its spread and increase its range(this might have been bad hit detection when i was using it, but it thats so then 4 shots missed a guy at 4 meters away) smg are good as is they just need a map more friendly for them.
these are just a few example of improving each gun at its intended role slightly but not make them better overall just make them better at what they are supposed to do. |
