Regular use of the swarm launcher gets really buggy.
it fails to bring up the lock window
it fails to stay locking
it leaves box UI artifacts on the screen
I'm guessing maybe 1/2 of my attempts to lock on and fire actually happen.
I'd be surprised if you're not aware of this, but it's a big deal and I hope is fixed for next version.

Pressing Start, then Circle to clear out of it does help some. Or at least makes me think it helps.. it does clear the UI. |

yea having the same problems with my Swarms. Also every once and a while I am locking a ghost set of missiles will fire. I am not sure if they do any damage but at least I am not losing ammo. |

I have had quite a few problems with not being able to bring up the lock on interface by holding r1. Firing from the hip seems to fix it but it wastes a shot that could be taking down a dropship.
The loss of lock on happens fairly often, as well as the artifacts(which seem to only happen when you lose a lock on).
If I can see something I should be able to lock on to it. eg If standing on the top of at tower on plateau I cannot lock on to a dropship below it, yet I can lock on to a dropship that is farther away but not directly below me.
Also, the missiles should not get stuck on something that's not there. I frequently have half of my missiles floating a few feet away from a surface because I'm standing near a wall or hill. I have no problem with them getting stuck in the wall or ground but floating in nothing is weird.
My guess is the last two are related to a map change that added blockers to the top of the towers to curtail dropship missile spam. |

Pressing Start, then Circle to clear out of it does help some. Or at least makes me think it helps.. it does clear the UI. I've filed a bug on the same thing. Sometimes the launcher gets confused about what state it is in, imho. |

the mechanics for the swarm launcher just havent been perfected yet...
TIP #1: after you try and lock on to a target and fail, the swarm launcher will lock up and cant be direct fired. to get rid of it, just quick swap to your secondary weapon and back again.
TIP#2: after you have locked on to my surya with your swarm launcher, hold R1 until i am behind an obstacle. |

Hello,
I have had one instance recently where my launcher would not lock onto anything. This happened right at the beginning of the game and I was on the attacking side. I could not target the turrets, only vehicles. Turret were off limits though, it simply would not lock on.
Stayed like that the rest of the game as well. Then returned to normal the next game. This has happened only once, however I have had the issues described in previous posts many times. |

Hold down the fire button for several seconds to get a lock.
This is buggy for me though - sometimes it fails to attempt to lock or starts to lock and then breaks lock for no obvious reason. I hear switching to another weapon and back may correct this but that's not very useful when facing a tank.

This is definitely a major problem that has gotten worse since I started the beta testing.
What's worse is that the HUD icons are totally whacked out, not matching up to what the target actually is, not showing up at all or showing the wrong "team" (showing red when the target is actually blue). |

I have had the lock-on stay on screen if target was destroyed while I was locking. Stays even if weapon is changed, my record is to lock-on boxes while i'm using smg. They don't go away till I respawn. I think it is intermittent, i'm pretty sure I have had the target pop without making the lock-on burn onto my dropsuits hud. |

Yea I notice this all too.
For the "ghost" missiles. That happen when you fire on something and then it get out of sight (range). Then you get the shot again but its just something that you can see and it does nothing |
