Sorry Proto I know you're a great player but its not all about kills, its mostly about kills but not all. And this is coming from a guy that is very much about kills who will mostly be playing arena battles when the game drops, and I mean no disrespect Proto but I throw it out there that 1v1 I can easily hold my own against you and any of the other top gun players. proto isn't just out for kills i've played with him and you should see him hack an objective or anything for that matter I lmao he's a wiggling mofo I love how I just mention point whoring and people start feeling insecure about their abilities and for whatever reason feel the need to measure themselves against me. Secondly i don't play games for kills I simply play to have fun and embarrass people. Third i don't know if you read the threads on this forum, but obviously i'm not exclusively interested in E-sport battles since i'm one of the main people involved in the anarchist/anti goonswarm movement. @nachos we had some good ass games last weekend.
There's an anti goonie movement? What do they do then?
And there's also things like this in EVE that are kind of akin. I'm gonna use EVE terms for it, some that not all people who haven't played EVE may or may not understand, but since Dust has some of the same terms it may help.
When you're a logy pilot, and you're doing it correctly, listening to the FC. Then you won't be on the killboards. This means that if you always fly logy, then you're gonna look like a carebear. Whether you want it or not. It doesn't mean you didn't participate in an epic battle, or were unimportant. It just means that you did your job right. No harm in that. Just because you're not top on a leaderboard, doesn't mean you aren't good, or even the best. It just means you aren't on the board. They could add a bunch of factors to the killboards, or leaderboards, or whatever it's gonna be called when it's done, but it's still gonna have ups and downs. Just all depends on how you want to take it. Honestly. For a long time on games like CoD. I tripped on my K/D ratio... Then my friends started playing on my account and wrecked it anyway. Does that make me less of a player on it? No. haha! I'll still drop a nuke on someone. If anything I see it as a blessing in disguise. Why? Because you see someone with a crap K/D... What's your first reaction? think they suck. Then what's your first mistake? Underestimate them. I hope I'm highly underestimated. Just another edge I can add to my arsenal. Muahaha! |
