Next we'll have Jetpack pilots complaining that forge guns and swarm launchers are too OP, and they OHK them, and the ground personnel will swear that the jetpacks are OP because they can't see them! |

No, for the reasons I laid out here: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=25385&find=unread
Maybe later, but it doesn't seem like it'd fit into EVE lore well. |

I think they could be made to work within Eve. Also, it could be balanced and ok.
Not for launch though, maybe later on.
To the OP, I agree with you, but your thread sucks. Post what you want, why you want it, how it could be balanced/iterated.
Just saying amiright to a thread title is really bad/juvenile.

This could probably work quite well in low grav/ gas planets or on moons. They can be used to quickly jump around but would take lots of CPU and not be as functional on higher-gravity temperate planets. Aren't they included in Halo REACH? I haven't played Halo in such a long time, did the inclusion of jetpacks add or remove from the overall gameplay? I'd think there should at least be a tradeoff (jetpacks but reduces armor or shields, sprint speed, etc), but might be lots of fun. |

Move to the EXISTING and WELL-DEVELOPED thread on the topic, which I linked, please. Further, it's a Goon, did you expect something useful from it? |

And Abner, they ripped off the idea from PlanetSide, which ripped it off from Tribes, which ripped it off from Robert Heinlein's "Starship Troopers." That said, even though all of those did it better than Reach, it was the first truly decent game in the series, largely because of all the stuff they ripped off of PlanetSide and Tribes. |

I would be ok with "jumppacks" but jetpacks ala this movie would be fail. Im thinking more along the lines of jumppacks how they are used in 40K lore. Range limited jumps, over a building, terrain ect. |
