Hi,
I believe that if dropships can crush people then they should take damage for hitting the ground.
If it was a helicopter in real life and the nose was hitting the ground then it would take major damage.

On a more serious note, this is a topic that is being beaten to death. Also thanks to the complainers, dropships are planned to be given a serious nerf making them even weaker than they are now. This is due to people complaining about the wrong things related to dropship crushing.

I do this for fun sometimes when the enemy is spawn trapped it's fun going pas the redline to squish someone and getting back before the redline timer counts down
And you will get damage for hitting the ground but you must be gentle in order to avoid
Oh and I love it when people compare real life to video games |

They won't nerf something just because people are complaing - If they nerf the crushing, which I hope they do, does NOT mean they are nerfing dropships as a whole. |

I hope you're right, but Nova usually has good info, so I think he probably knows what he's talking about.
I'm not a pilot myself, but I use Dropships as target practice already. The only nerf they need is an increase in price. |

I take damage all the time.You hit things in dropships it damages your shields first.I have crashed my ship trying to kill groups of red dots.
Warm up those swarm lanchers,I also make it my mission to clear the skys when on foot. |

dropships are a little more advanced than helicopters. and dropships do take damage from hitting the ground.
at the moment there are very few ways of earning sp effectively as a dropship pilot, so untill they get rewarded for acting asa spawn point and helping capture objectives its not really fare to blame dropships for squishing the odd player.
also i'm pretty sure when the militia vehicles are removed they'll be far less vehicle abuse full stop. |
