We should receive points for spotting enemies.
I like to fly dropships, but the skillpoint gain for doing so is pretty bad.
If we were rewarded for keeping enemies lit up on our teams HUDs, it would help equalize this discrepancy by giving pilots a bonus for the huge vision range they can add to a team.
I propose something like:
If you are the only person with sight on a target, you get X amount of skillpoints each second that you keep them lit up for your team.
So if I have a bird in the air, and I spot a group of 4 enemies flanking our lines, and I keep them up on the HUD for 10 seconds, I would get 20 points (assuming a point reward of 0.5 points per second per target), rewarding me for alerting my team to a potential threat, and giving me a way to gain points even when I'm between pickups/dropoffs/respawns. |

I like that idea [as long as it reasonable amount of point, not too much]. It would make being actually a scout profitable. |

I know right? I'm averaging about 40000 (boosted) skill points a game when I dropship, and considering how many targets I find for my team, and the kills I feed my gunners, it doesnt seem very fair I get virtually no rewards. |

I approve of this idea.
Definitely needs to be a VERY small reward, though. Keeping enemies lit up should be a MAXIMUM of 0.5 points per second per enemy, including vehicles. It might be viable to make this reward 1 point per 3 - 5 seconds per enemy when you're the only person with eyes on target. And it should only count a full point earned, then reset if you lose sight on a target.
It might also be a good idea to give a 10 point "Sight Assist" if an enemy is killed within a certain timeframe after you stop earning Scouting points for keeping them visible. |

Anything that gives me a return on the skill point sink of getting into the Eryx.
