Id like to see in the full release that not just anybody can drive a vehicle. Only those who invest skill points into it and do it full time exclusively should be able to. Im planning to only pilot because im not that great of a shooter and want to focus more on helping my team. I think this could help keep the idiots away that only squish people or land on buildings. Because those arent reasons i enjoy piloting. I see myself dropping teammates off at objectives or for defense and keep one gunner on board so we can help support them. On a side note im loving dust and am proud to be a part of the beta. |

just because you like to play one way doesn't mean everyone should have to play that way. if people want to squish people who are unlucky then they should be able to. and lets say only those who can do it "exclusively? do it then they wouldnt have any isk at all cause all the other people would destroy the vehicles as soon as they drop since only the "exclusive" people can use them. |

People shouldn't have access to vehicle if they dont have the skills to do so,how would you feel if you 100k fitted tank drops down and some random teammate jumps in and gets it blow up. Or at least the first entry should be owner only, after that anyone can jump in. |

I disagree kind of... I think pilot should be a 4th option in the beginning and logistics a 5th... Result? If your a heavy, you get the heavy skills no one else can use them without training... If your assault assault skill no one else can use them without training... If your a pilot? Welcome to vehicles and your default vehicle militia kit, you have unlimited **** vehicles to play with, but only if you picked pilot... And? YOU SUCK at everything else, with a little lead on getting into real vehicles, basic drop ship being where you start...
That would be fair, would be balanced, and would solve all these issues, if you don't like it you have 3 characters so do whatever you want, but no everyone shouldn't start with MILITIA EVERYTHING =D. ....
I think this is temporary, it doesn't seem like something CCP would incorporate in the game, very un-EVE like, its to stress test the Beta. |

No one ever said it was temporary so there are only 2 ways to prevent them from having it in the full version...
1.get eveyone to spam complaints about it like how they did with swarm launchers (some FAGS like malitia tanks so this option wont work)
2.riot |

I'd just like to point out it is precisely because of free vehicles that a lot of these stupid complaints are possible... You think tanks would be as common compared to suits if there weren't free variants? Do you think people would use dropships as people smashers if they had to buy each one they bashed to death or if they had to pay the costs of them getting swarmed in irate retaliation after a couple kills? Only vehicle I don't see having this problem is maybe the LAVs just because some maps will be huge and people using them as pure transportation and taking the risk is fine... But the others are being abused, and its obvious.
Fact is people wouldn't be asking for all this nerfing if this market destabilizing factor wasn't present with FREE ****. So once again I'm guessing CCP notices these tenancies... These aren't stupid people... And only plan on using the free vehicles to stress test the servers. If not, then the proponents are right, Militia dropships may **** up the balance since they're a no cost solution to ineptitude. |

Possible fix: make militia vehicles one-off purchases. You don't need to have the skills for them, but you spend ISK every time.
General squishy/weak stats balance out the lack of skill requirements, but there's no way to make up for vehicles being free without making them weaker than dropsuits. |

No ONLY entry should be owner. The enemy has to hack it if they want to steal it, so it's not like you just left the keys in it. So its total BS that an ally can come along and steal it, and oh boy do they. Many times I must jump out of my vehicle to hack the objective, and always some douche comes jumps in my vehicle and then takes off and doesn't defend the objective I just hacked. If I can lock the enemy out, I want to lock everyone out. When I die bury me with that crap yo. You want a sweet vehicle, get a job. We really need to be able to lock everyone out, there's going to be a lot of back stabbing in Dust. |

I hate when i fly up to an deserted objective and nobody jumps off... Its like hello???? I agree with others being locked out of your ship. Heck yeah i purchased that sucker. Nobody else should fly it. Im also fine with spending isk for every dropship. Once im skilled up enough for the one i want all my isk will go to purchase lots of em. As far as suits and guns im not too worried because ill be airborne. |

I think players need the freedom to LET their vehicles be taken by teammates, so a permanent lockout wouldn't be a good solution unless it can be turned off.
Maybe there should be a way to "unlock" a vehicle for your teammates? When you first call a vehicle in, it's locked specifically for your use, but you can give it to a teammate if you choose to do so.
I also think players should be unable to hijack or borrow vehicles they don't meet the minimum skill requirements for, or should at least have some kind of negative modifiers when doing so. |
