Alright, I've seen many complaints about not being able to changing stuff on your weapon.
This I think should be skill required. and would cost MUCH more CPU and PG.
Also, having a fitting screen for that weapon while inside your fitting screen = meme, i know ;D
A skill like something "complex weapon systems" would allow more fitting options to your weapon of choice.
each lvl make it cost less CPU / PG and more fitting slots open on the weapon.
just a general idea, haven't put to much thought to it. i'm working on something else currently for MCC and leadership that is taking up prioty for my ideas.
Just something for people to talk about doing.
it shouldn't be right off the bat that you can do too much to weapon fittings.
But more guns would change peoples minds on this complaint.

I don't know if a skill should be acquired because wouldn't that be something that everyone would invest in ? |

I don't think everyone would though. giving that option would be the reason for the skill.
not everyone might want to do it for some time. using basic stuff is fine for some people. |

Haven't they already talked about letting people fit weapons and stuff in the final game already? Maybe it was just a rumor I heard but I think we haven't seen it yet because we are so early in beta |

I'm all for weapon fittings. I also heard a rumour about weapon fittings being put in the game eventually.
I'm all for anything that gives players tons of customization and tons of skills to work for and level up. As long as everything is properly balanced of course. |

We have been discussing this already in the "Weapon customization" thread but the more we touch this argument the better Anyway a hypothetical weapon customization/fitting system should anyway work like in vehicles & dropsuit but have far more options since weapons are made of several parts: barrel, underbarrel, scopes & sights, triggers, grip, stock, mag, sights, etc... By the way we could also have far more sophisticate fitting for dropsuit & vehicles as well if CCP decides that we can modify individual parts there as well. For vehicles we could be able to change: cockpit, engines, weapons, tyre & caterpillars, afterburners, wings, armor plates, etc... The Dropsuit parts to customize could be: head/helmet, torso, arms, gloves, belt, legs, boots.
Balance-wise I made a list of balanced parts in the Weapon Customization thread so RolyatDerTeufel if you want to give piratical examples maybe you modify it using CPU/PG requirements opposed to my simply FPS balancing : I fear my knowledge of EVE is too limited to deliver that well enough. |

A similar, if not the same idea, granted minus the skill requirement, was brought up in the last build's forums for suggestions by myself and other players.
I agree and like the premise behind and I think it will add further depth and complexity to both Dust and EVE. More markets, items and the possibility that a Duster could retire from the front line if they wish and go into equipment development.

I'm all for this idea, but if there were a racial variant for every weapon and possibly a few more then I'd be content with that as well. |

I'm hoping to see more racial weapons added in around release. |
